Won both games today, the 2nd game had a really obnoxious 3rd base coach who was just loud and wouldn't shut up for 2 seconds, after the first inning they took the lead on us but the 2nd inning we put up a bunch of runs. After that he was much quieter.

WI clover is second to none, my buddy yrs ago planted it next to regular clover and it was night a day difference on deer preferring WI. I've always had great success with all their seed blends.

They won tonight, son went 2-3 with a strikeout, double, triple and 5 rbi's.

To bad they shut it down, it was a nice little place and always busy when I went in. Rumor has it they turned to God and are Bible thumpers now, maybe Billy Graham crusaders, something like that.

But just rolling it won't kill the grasses and will eventually compete and over shadow the beans wouldn't it? I don't have deep pockets for a nice drill or crimper like growing deer tv but I was thinking of trying a similar approach next yr in the poor man's fashion.

Whitetail institute has a decent one that comes out a few times a yr. Other than that American Rifle, that one I rarely look at.

We have two weekend tournaments left, grand island and Cal Ripkin, then its football and fall baseball.

Good deal and yep it's alot of work but at least it's fun work. Even if you don't tag out it's still a great benefit. Think about how much that could reduce the browse pressure on your wood lot alone. They might be less interested in browsing the young oak sapling on the way to your plots! -
Thanks Larry, it's been a bucket list item for me, I've dreamed of having a good size on up there for yrs. I'm fantasizing about next spring seeing Tom's strutting hard in that plot! And hopefully it's a deer magnet too!!

Finished the plot today. son tagged along, got the rest of any rocks and roots out and spread all the seed, tomorrow I have to pic up one seed type that they didn't have till Monday. I need a few more bags of lime to top it off. Once we finish we took a 4wheeler back to the pond on the other side of the property and took a swim. On the way back I went around to see how well hidden the plot is from the other side, as I came up 2 doe were crossing the plot.
