My son had his first taste of practice for his new team. Both of his coaches are awesome, his one coach has a vast knowledge of baseball (former mlb player) and seems to be a great teacher. Tonight at the end they went thru Hit Trax, that was pretty cool, tells you a whole bunch of info, exit velocity, launch angles, I think my son's best exit velocity was 63. Now only if I had an idea how to download a video.

Yeah you can see the little growth patches, in all looks darn good especially with the slight leaf color change in the background!! I checked ours today and is still looking good but you can deff see they are hitting it pretty hard. Every cam pic has a ton of deer in it. I'm trying to come up with a name for the plot since it always has deer in it (bucks and doe's). Keep us posted on the browse pressure!! If you try another seed maybe split the plot in half, half WI and half FF for comparison. I've never been disappointed with WI.

It's early still and I know you mentioned deer wiped it out last yr, fencing off gives you a little insurance policy for later on. If they wipe it out like last yr then there's no ponderosa buffet to hunt at. This could hold the deer you want closer to you then the neighbors. Gl

Reminds me Larry, yrs ago I hunted across the road from where I grew up. I bet the stand that I was walking to that morning was between 1/2 and 3/4 mile walk. Well a ways into it I got the worst crap cramps, enough so that I was hunched over in pain for a few seconds than it went away. It happened 2 other times during my walk. I finally settled into the stand thinking I could hold it, it was just getting light and I had 2 yearling heading right towards my stand, then the pain came back so much, I flew down the screw-in steps and dropped pants right at the base of the tree. I lite up the woods and had no TP, made the best of it and walked back home. One of those never forget moments I guess.

Good to know I'm not alone

So my son has something against taking a crap anywhere but at home when possible and he won't crap at school. So last week I said hey when I went to school I'd always use the bathroom in the nurses office, always clean and all alone. Well today was testing and he said it went well, he said it was fine but I had to take a big crap so I went to the nurses office. I almost fell over, wow he does listen. He just started middle school and he said kids are vaping in the bathroom and he hates having to use them, said it smells terrible.

Checked plot and cams for the last time yesterday. Both looked good and now that the plot has been growing for 2 months you can really see a difference inside the utilization fence. I didn't want to leave sent behind but from a distance I'd say the plot was 2-3 taller in the plot, they have been working the plot pretty hard.

Hey guys, I know I asked this in the past and I have no idea how to try and find it. Next yr my son will be 12 and I want to get him a deer rifle and I'm looking for your opinions. 1) Do I get him a youth model? He's 11 and a few months now and is 5'5 and 100lbs. I'd imagine he'll be close to 6ft in a yr from now. Not sure if that makes a difference in youth or reg rifle. 2) obviously .243 stands out as a great option. I also read 6.5 creed and 7mm-08 are other options. Thanks guys appreciate the opinions.
