  1. the blue pants, the stature and hidden face. it all fits our buddy stormy daniels.
  2. a slight maybe. mostly because summers are super busy and i know i'm not alone with that.
  3. i vote for one of our resident democrats to become next moderator. just to make things interesting
  4. hey man, i'm just proud you got through that one without a misspelling. You're right though, because I used the state of Georgia as an example, that for sure means I didn't know of the country. I succeed to your vast superior worldly knowledge. I am not worthy.
  5. man i just skimmed that thread. I had only one boy at the time and now I have 3 lol. That's pretty funny. Also the snowflake culture was pretty ripe in that thread.
  6. sometimes I wonder if these guys just moved on in life, got sick of the board or something happened. shawn and I would butt heads, but he was a good dude. Ants was pretty active and a good contributor. Not afraid to speak his peace iirc
  7. what does a pic of a euro mount have to do with FSW being a vet on this forum and having posted pictures before? I swear with your logic, spelling and typing I'm starting to wonder if you're not Mike Rossi, but actually growalot.
  8. man there's some names i haven't seen in a while. Shawnhu and ants. both used to be pretty active.
  9. FSW has been here a long time rook. And has posted a few pics over the years. Another L for you.
  10. no. this is just wrong. I've taken a bunch of college statistics classes and clearly you have not.
  11. what in the sam hell are you talking about? I can't with you man. I just can't.
  12. You're talking about 2 totally different things. Fixing an election is the act of changing votes and data and straight up fraud. "brainwashing" isn't illegal and I'm not sure why you think this state should be 50-50. It's a liberal state and has been for some time now. As already mentioned, many who don't agree with the politics have left. Liberals breed children and try and teach them their values. Many red states have similar histories with the opposite party. What is more interesting is the recent trend in TX and CO as people leave the states they don't like and bring their politics with them. This isn't confusing at all, you continue to amaze me.
  13. to each their own. For me it's the thrill of the chase. tagging out in 15 minutes isn't really "hunting" for me. No issues with how you guys feel though.
  14. i'm not even sure that sounds fun. Is that normal?
  15. and btw, that kind of thinking is exactly what the lady from georgia and the guy from florida said when they lost...
  16. you live in a bubble in the catskills man. Those numbers are real. Get outside of your bubble and talk to more people "not like you". This forum is a great example of group think and any outsider might think all New Yorkers share our views when in fact we're in a very small minority.
  17. man would that backfire on you That's actually what is happening. A culmination of gun laws, abortion laws, liberal policies and taxes. Tack on the weather and many of the people only remain because of roots. And it's why his budget is in the shitter. You know where I stand politically, but people need to stop using maps like this. Both at a state level and federal level. Yes Montana is all red and the land mass is huge, but there are more people living in some major cities than the whole state. I understand the picture you're trying to paint and you're not wrong, but fact of the matter is it's probably something like 80% of the population live in those blue squares. If we were to change to a land mass based system, Fred from Herkimer counties vote would count the same as 2,000 votes from NYC and then how is that democratic?
  18. There's a pretty good meateater podcast episode titled "path of the puma". It's over an hour discussion with a lion biologist and author about the history of the big cat, the different names we give it and most interestingly, the fact that the cat isn't native. The native cats went the way of the woolly mammoth. Anyhow, it's worth a listen if you're interested in the topic. Discusses a lot of the issues we're now facing with the reintroduction and growth of predators. More grizzlies, bears, wolf and cats today than in the last 100 years. In addition, people are moving further and further into the "woods". So this is creating conflict. IIRC there have been a dozen or so conflicts and a few deaths in the last few years and before that there were only a few in the last 100 years combined. Essentially it's not an easy topic and there is no clear answer for me. We want our animals but we don't want them to kill our pets or hurt our recreationists trying to enjoy the outdoors. It may not be a "have your cake and eat it to" situation, but it's pretty close.
  19. books are not obsolete, not even close. Yes the e-reader market has grown, but the words are still the same.
  20. I can imagine. It helps to talk, especially with those that have had similar experiences. If you're not one for therapy and the chat with your wife wasn't enough you might want to check out reddit. Lots of good sub groups and posting your story will probably result in a lot of good advice and similar stories. They're all strangers, but so are you so it kind of works. Also, try not to drink. It doesn't help. The green stuff might though.
  21. yeah same problem. After I snowblowed the banks were too high. that's a pretty good idea actually. But more work haha. i have a golden, this has never been a problem but he's 13 now and now as willing to climb the banks i made from clearing the walk and driveway. Plus with this last storm there was still enough residual snow that I'm not sure he knew the difference.
  22. yeah did that yesterday. Worst part was after all that snow mine and the neighbors dog started shitting on the driveway as it was the only clear spot and for some reason, and I assume on purpose right where the drivers side door of my truck is. Found that one out in the morning the hard way
  23. isn't this the same guy concerned about the advancements in technology?
