  1. drive a tractor through it. it will automatically appear in your tire. even if you're not close to it.
  2. that's scary and black, therefore not NY UNSAFE ACT compliant.
  3. 1 wall clock, thermostat, stove, coffee pot and microwave. Even my truck auto-updates now. Seems the kitchen is lagging behind haha.
  4. i was entertained by death wish. It suffered from being a very violent movie released right after parkland, which is a terrible way to rate a movie. Critics said it sucked because of that, but audience was pretty favorable. I wont say it was wonderful, but it was entertaining.
  5. he doesn't understand the internet very well. It wasn't until sometime last year that he figured out how to post "utube" links. At first he would tell people to go search for "xyz". edit to say this isn't a "personal attack." it's a legitimate fact that you can check easily if you're offended by what I said.
  6. think of a good boss like mom. When mom's happy, everyone is happy. Do your job, offer input when you feel it's necessary or welcome and then despite what the outcome is, accept it. Know that (good boss) just wants to meet the goals and if you help, you'll be recognized. Recognition comes in many forms. Like grampy said, it may be that he stays off your back, it might mean a bonus, promotion, salary increase, looking the other way when you duck out to hunt on a crisp November afternoon. Good boss sees when you're adding value and when you're not. Good boss tries within their means to recognize. I will also add that good boss actually likes feedback and to hear your insight into the topic. But also hopes it's understood if a decision is made that you don't agree with that you're not going to act like an 8 year old.
  7. so just to be clear, as long as someone isn't attacking someones gender, race or religion specifically, woman should be treated differently? perm I believe. The threads still up in the contest section unless those comments were taken down. And no, nobody is giving a bb more respect. The point is that it was a legal harvest and the hunter should not be shamed for doing so. I think it's perfectly fine for members to express their concern or perhaps make suggestions on why he shouldn't, but when you call another hunter names or put them down for their decision it crosses a line for me, or in the case of ole bill calling out my lack of turkey hunting success in a discussion about 60's martial arts videos. On this site, you can call me whatever you want without mentioning my family or my hunting and we're good.
  8. i've always worn mine under my outer jacket.
  9. huntingny can literally ban you for whatever and whenever. they can turn the site off right now. Terms and Service agreement? At this point I'd expect you're just trolling, but nothing in your history suggests that.
  10. not trying to be a dick, but we've been over this. free speech does not apply to a private internet forum. It only absolves you from criminal charges by the government. Similarly, your employer wont let you just say what you want without consequence.
  11. no expert, but in climbing you're going to have some tension and you're also leaning back or active in what you're doing where treestand hunting is a little more passive. At the end of the day, if it's a 5 point, it'll meet the recommended safety standards.
  12. suspension trauma and it's no joke. If it helps anyone in their decision, OSHA requires you have a plan "after you fall" because you're basically still dead if you're left dangling.
  13. I will further add that sharing of mistakes can help others. I've mentioned bad shots, rookie moves and poor hunting seasons I've had in an effort to help others. To then bring that story into a totally separate discussion because you don't like what the poster is currently talking about is also unwarranted. This happened recently to me by a guy who should know better and I'm glad the mods deleted it.
  14. i'm not really sure what I'm looking at. It doesn't really appear to be a 5 point, which I would strongly encourage for hunting. I would only recommend a lineman style if you're hanging/prepping. the spider by robinson is my favorite.
  15. neither of those members were/are innocent and had plenty of opportunity to just stop replying. The former got a huge pass from many because she was a female.
  16. yeah that's true. I still think the point is worth making though. I believe 2 members were banned this season when chef shot that bb.
  17. agreed. Got 2 episodes in and stopped.
  18. btw, there is a comedy called The Legacy of a White Deer Hunter. It stars Josh Brolin and Danny McBride of Eastbound and Down fame and many comedies. I had high hopes for it as I love the actors and the subject and thought maybe they might do this thing right. It's a netflix original. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4762824/?ref_=nv_sr_1 I'll say it's not the worst thing I've ever wasted time on and it doesn't do any real hunter shaming. But if you really, really need a deer hunter / comedy fix it might be something to consider.
  19. technically i did it first, but i did give the disclaimer first So if if TC is out, so am I. Rejoice!
  20. what are the details? I might see if my old man wants to go with me.
  21. ^ still just doesn't "get it" it's clearly a move by the liberal elite to oppress the cisgender caucasian male in an attempt to further the islamic agenda I've said this before, but this place is very, very mild. A few folks with thin skin that occasionally getting riled up isn't really that bad. Heck, the drama is entertaining to be honest. In my opinion the major rule that this forum needs to uphold is hunter shaming. A little light ribbing for those that can handle it and are willing is ok. But I hate to ever see hunters shame hunters for an ethical kill or an honest mistake. I think this applies to "help I wounded one" topics as well. The mistake was made, and there's no reason to pile on when someone is clearly looking for advice. Small disclaimer, if they have a history of taking poor shots or making bad decisions, and even then.
  22. i always give her the finalizer when it's all wet. wait... what are we talking about? the forum jerk off has me confused.
  23. the magic of season 1 was that you didn't know what was going on. they carried over some of that into season 2, but i fear 3 will be a let down. kids are getting older and some of the 80's nostalgia is wearing off, bad guys clearly established etc. Still will watch it immediately, but just not getting too hyped.
  24. these are prime series, but worth a nod if you have a prime account Jack Ryan, the grand tour (basically top gear) and I recently started and now getting through season 2 of Mr. Robot. The show isn't for everyone, but if you like a little weird in your shows and are even a little bit into tech, conspiracy theories and mental health then it's a good watch for you.
  25. everyone watches stranger things haha. season 1 can never be topped though. i dind't hate it. felt like the hype set the expectations too high for me, but it wasn't a bad movie. Different, which is rare for hollywood. this. with the ability to download episodes to your tablet, if you travel a decent amount you can blow through stuff. Flying, waiting and at night in the hotel.
