The best part about hunting over dogs is if you don't find birds at least you have the dogs to watch/train. Like I did this afternoon, no birds but got some quality training done and found deer sign in the process.

If you were closer I would take you out. Any way, no more than a mod choke, no more than 6 shot and you can get them with less obviously. Stomp cover and drive them towards open areas to try to make them fly as they are runners. Look for out of the way spots and stuff near wet areas.
