Do you remember the guy that posted on here about letting a big one rip when he saw a deer out of excitement? Man that was a funny one. Might have even been the old site.
-
I wonder what mine shoots, come get it and test it then give a once over. I want a quarter inch taken off my dram length. Thanks in advance. Its only a short few hour drive.
-
Oh yea well I killed a deer once by going number 2 once. Speaking of number 2's, Burt, I may have forgot to flush at your camp when I last trespassed.
-
Check my edit. lol
-
Mine are 500 grains finished but I shoot a Hoyt at 29 inch draw so that means my bow is better and faster than all the other ones.
-
8.2X26+75=288.2 grains Edit to add, that would mean 30 grains in fletching, ect.
-
Great idea, I usually go number 2 under another guys stand. Even if they are in it
-
To be extra safe I wear a carbon fiber diaper and go in it.

I have come close to booking a hunt a couple of times but something always comes up so I will wait. We stay near Moosehead Lake and I have a guy I trust enough up there to connect me with a guide if need be. I would rather just have some one run a bait for me and let me handle the rest. That way I can stay in a sweet cabin and save some scratch. I have bird hunted there a couple of times now and would love to move there and live off the grid.

Nice one, Where about did you go?

Looks just like his mom! I had a blast with the kids in Maine this summer fishing for Brookies, I just wish we had more time to go when we were there. I only bought a three day license.

I want to like this post because of the humor but I'm not sure you are joking. At your age you can't be picky I suppose.

It's remarkable how similar your place sounds to a place I occasionally hunt in Otsego. Actually rarely now because I hate the 70 mile drive when I can hunt in back of my house. Some folks can't get a real picture of what it is like to hunt 300 acres of hilly mountains until they experience it in person. The constant wind variables make it pretty frustrating to try and plop down in one spot all day. Still hunting is ok but also a pain when it's on the side of some steep hills. Bedding, sure pick an area out of 300 acres and the deer are sure to be on the other side of the property lol. The place I go is more akin to the Adirondacks than anything else.

For an extra 3.5 Mill you have nearly 12 thousand acres in Maine. https://www.mainerecreationalrealtygroup.com/-/listing/18351224/104-Military-Rd-Macwahoc-Plt-ME-04451?content_index=5266520&from=results- 54 replies

1200 would be a great price. New they retail 1400. 1100 is a good starting point and if I had more in my allowance jar I would buy it. My wife has one, great gas operated gun!!! http://www.basspro.com/shop/en/browning-maxus-realtree-max-5-semi-auto-shotgun

You both killed 1.5's. Stop kidding yourself or trying to fool anyone. We have heard the story 1000 times and seen the pics the same. On top of that the age of the deer you kill does not matter to anyone but you. Same goes for everyone else, you fill your tag however you want. I don't shoot fawns and, like Pygmy would prefer to pass the old doe out back if I can. Other areas it doesn't matter because there are more to choose from.

It's easier to tune a stiff spine than it is a weak one. He already has 125's so if for some strange reason he becomes over spined with 100 grainers the 125's will do the trick to weaken the spine back up. The other solution would be to not cut the arrows and try 75 grain heads but that means buying more stuff.
-
Sounds like your spine is off. Shorten them arrows. It sounds like your center shot is way off if you are all the way to one side. Which leads me to believe it is a spine issue. Long arrows throw the charts way off, they are based on a 28 inch arrow. Go as short as you can then tune.

That might get tougher, they don't offer the Intensity any more apparently.

NY Potential ban on urine based scents
Doewhacker replied to anthony.costa82's topic in General Hunting
I sent my comments to them when they first opened it up them. Stupid pointless idea. -
No clue I don't belong or go to any camps. No way you are gay cause you shoot a Matthews now. That's Street cred right there.

It ain't a law yet, just a proposal open to comments.
