  1. An excerpt from the article.. "The title X section of the law titled "strengthening Quality, Affordable Health care for all Americans" states that wellness and prevention programs implemented under the law may not require "the discloser or collection of any information relating to the presence or storage of a lawfully possessed firearm or ammunition" in someones home or "the lawfull use, possession, or storage of a firearm or ammunition". This prohibition extends to any data collection activity authorized under the law."
  2. Here is some info reguarding the misinturpeted "mandate". http://mediamatters.org/research/2013/01/17/four-falsehoods-about-doctors-and-guns-pushed-b/192305#claim1
  3. 7-08 What action are we talking because a semi will reduce recoil a lot too. Or you may want to consider a 7-08 semi, reasonably light weight and minimal recoil. Gun weight is important for most lady's or guys like Wny. Let's take bets on how long it takes him to see that shot. Lol
  4. He doesn't beleive me, its ok, I'm glad to see him siding with anti hunters. Show's his true colors.
  5. Hey way to go you just replied to a post from 1/2. I'm sure its a media cover up, you are right.
  6. Franks Guns in Amsterdam is partaking in this, there is one shop at least. Lol
  7. And takes notes on every phone call you have too. My wife and I are doing all this for a different subject but the same methods should be done. Its amazing the way things change after 6 letters in a week and a half.
  8. I strongly recomend following up with letters so it is all documented, a conversation can be denied but a letter cannot.
  9. Of course that would make sense so they can't do that, lol It takes a few layers before the police are alerted so hopefully it would taken as serious as it is and they would make the right call. Can you imagine if they didn't make the right call the trouble they would be in.
  10. It states if the person may do serious harm to themselves or others, thats a pretty clear guideline. Basicaly this now holds mental health care professionals feet to the fire, if some one clearly states they are going to do harm they should be reported. Some of these cases that I mentioned earlier (Holmes, Laughner) the shooters did tell their Dr's they were going to do harm to others and nothing was really done. I don't know about you but I have never threatened any one with harm while at the Dr's, that is a serious red flag.
  11. Wrong, if he is not threating harm then there is nothing to report. Expressing opinions are not threats.
  12. It started back when the last whackos that went on shooting spree's told their Dr's that they were going to do harm to others and the Dr's just sat there and did nothing about it.
  13. Thats a bit of a strecth Bob, a gun alone isn't a threat. A crazy guy saying he is going to harm another is a threat.
  14. WOW , you said you are required to ask and included some crap on Hipaa and having to report by law. You are wrong and can't admit that.
  15. Fine I will prove you are an idiot but I am sure you will continue to argue and act like an ass because that is your thing here. You REALLY should learn the laws before spouting off and more so as you a Murse (Male Nurse). http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/hipaa/understanding/special/NICS/index.html "On April 23, 2013, the Department published an Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) requesting the public’s input on how HIPAA may affect some states’ ability to report to the NICS and ways in which these barriers could be addressed without discouraging individuals from seeking mental health services. Over 2,000 comments were received from individuals, state agencies, health care providers, professional organizations, consumer advocacy groups, and other stakeholders. After considering the public comments received, the Department developed a NPRM, which proposes to modify the HIPAA Privacy Rule to permit certain HIPAA-covered entities to disclose to the NICS the identities of persons prohibited by federal law from possessing or receiving a firearm for reasons related to mental health. The proposal would give states and certain covered entities added flexibility to ensure accurate but limited information is reported to the NICS, which would not include clinical, diagnostic, or other mental health information. Instead, certain covered entities would be permitted to disclose the minimum necessary identifying information about individuals who have been involuntarily committed to a mental institution or otherwise have been determined by a lawful authority to be a danger to themselves or others or to lack the mental capacity to manage their own affairs. Importantly, the proposed permission focuses on those entities performing relevant commitments, adjudications, or data repository functions. The proposed modifications would merely permit, and not require, covered entities to report to the NICS. In addition, the proposed rule would not change the existing permitted uses and disclosures of protected health information under the HIPAA Privacy Rule."
  16. I still have no idea WTF you are talking about 9/11 for, just because you are a conspirisist doesn't mean you need to insert your theories on a different one into every subject. I have never once discussed 9/11 here so stop trying to start a crusade against me every thread you go off the rails in.
  17. Coming from a guy that beleives in conspiracy theories and big foot.
  18. Hmm I don't recall saying you were right or wrong, I know you got butt hurt like always and got all defensive though. I asked you share your facts with the rest of us. You are wrong about Hipaa but refuse to back up your claims. Fairly simple.
  19. I just ask you provide info for us all to read and be enlightened, until then you are full of poop.
  20. That's what I thought, no you can't back up what you claim. The usual from you.
  21. Bubba care to post a link or any source of info for us then?
  22. Wow look at you guys! Here is a link to an article on that specific case. Not what you claim it to be. http://www.wgrz.com/news/article/210049/37/SAFE-Act-Mistake-Leads-to-Pistol-Permit-Seizure Bubba if you don't understand Hipaa you should retire today. None of this has any thing to do with the op by the way. Carry on
