    Lets not forget that the deer in the OP were on LI, you know where they are calling in snipers to take out 3000 head of deer. Sounds like more guys down there need to kill more deer on a regular basis instead of playing TV hunter.

    Button bucks disperse, you should know that but like many things concerning Deer management you don't. I think Phade has done a wonderfull job of pointing out how little you really do know. As for the rest of your post...who cares what your opinion is.

    Does that part matter? The end result was still a dead fawn, I do not care what others choose to shoot provided it is done legally, who the hell are you to say anything to your neighbor if he shoots what ever on HIS land. Oh I see you equate spending money on your land to owning the deer and controlling what gets killed around you.

    Maybe he did the interveiw knowing he would be suspended? naw couldn't be he is just a dumb hick...lol I veiw the show as it is a comedy because that's what it is obviously. Kind of like "pro" wrestling.

    Yes they have a season on LI that goes on forever because there are so many deer that they need killed to control the population. Its not always about what you like and dont like Belo, and by the way I do remember you stating that you have killed fawns in the past so you really can't say much. This is about the caption not the size of the deer legally killed.

    No problem, facts with an agenda, that's how I would describe the movie. I realized that I have seen part of it, the parts I saw weren't blatantly animal rights enfused garbage but I don't think it had to be because Seaworld hasn't done themselves any good on their own.

    I couldn't agree more, I had a pic from the weekend I wanted to share with a story but after veiwing it I decided not to. It looked a lot better on my phone than it did on a screen. These guys connected to the photo should know this will be connected to their names and every perspective employer or anyone else will be able to make the connection for ever. Stupid is as stupid does.

    You certainly are stubborn Doc. All the hub bub was because of the trainers deaths and the lack of preparedness to deal with a mishap. Yes animal rights groups have attacked sea world but this appears at least to be about something besides them and their silly antics. A judge threw out a suit where PETA claimed the whales were slaves, this is a different case altogether.

    I shoot a side lock with a medium twist rate and that Conical with 90 grains of Goex Black powder is about perfect for what the gun likes. Deadly accurate and plenty of omph when it gets there.

    I have never had a problem with the ML, I use Hornady GPB, 385 grains. I only had to track one ever with it actually and that was an easy job from a double lung. The other three fell in their tracks.

    We got to do quite a bit of tracking this year, it always impresses me how far a buck can travel in a short amount of time with out ever slowing down. I hope tracking doesn't die with Larry, I love it and am happiest when doing it compared to other styles of hunting.

    Try not to be so negative Mike. I didn't say I didn't care about non-game species or extinction, this is a hunting forum and a thread related to hunting. My idea is that if we focus heavily on game that can and will flurish in this state the others that are struggling will benefit too!

    Not addressed to me but here is my answer.. Its not the Anti's we should be concerned with, its the one's that are indifferent that something like this could get to and cause damage. Anti's will not be swayed reguardless, though this type of thing will fuel them.

    People paint with broad brush strokes, we see it here all the time, this kind of thing is bad for our image as hunters.

    I support ANY kind of idea's for Upland habitat, obviously other game animals benefit too. This is the biggest thing Ny lacks unfortunately, instead we do little to nothing. All I needed to do was see NH, VT and Maine to know we are missing the mark for bird habitat. Why do we sink money into Pheasant or Spruce Grouse?, we should be holding on to what we can have and thats Grouse, rabbit, Woodcock ect. Frustrating to say the least.

    We have three now, two Wirehaired Pointing Griffons and a German Wirehaired pointer. All three are protective to the point I cant have the blinds open in the front and god forbid some one comes to the door and knocks or rings the door bell because all hell breaks loose. All three are obiedient, protective and HUNT, what more does a guy need.
