Need a new backpack
Zem18 replied to Waldershrek's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I switched from a fanny pack to a backpack last year and I love it. I bought a camo one from Wal-Mart and I was not disappointed. Lasted all season last year in all sorts of weather. Even took it ice fishing and no frozen zippers. Believe it was under $15 but may have been on sale. If it tends to slip like most packs tend to do at some point, I put some paracord around the straps and tie it tight against my chest so it doesn't move around on me. -
Thanks for the tips. Ill check the shed for some mineral spirits after work for the initial wipe down. It does look pretty good huh. I'm excited to get it cleaned up and then get it dirty again shooting it.

Wouldn't it be neat if the deer start to use it too? I'd put up a trail camera on it. You may be surprised as animals take the path of least resistance as humans do sometimes. Looks great and hope it serves its purpose this season and next.

I have some hoppes#9 solvent I can use and I picked up a 2oz bottle of Otis CLP tonight while school shopping. Never used the clean, lubricate, protect stuff so thought I would try it. Here are some pics - these are before cleaning- will post after cleaning

It's my new pistol, an ISSC M22. I have another post on here about it somewhere. Ill post up pics later. Wasn't sure if Hoppes would cut the grease, that's why I asked. I will try it later, have to school shop tonight, oh joy.

I have a new firearm and it is loaded with grease and looks to be old grease at that. It is brand new but was manufactured in 2009 so this stuff has been on there for a few years. What should I clean it with? Don't want anything too harsh so I don't mess up the finish. Any suggestions are appreciated.

100 packs of CCI were going for $8.00 at the show which is actually a better price than what the bricks were selling for. Anything over 8 cents a round for non CCI is a joke. When Gander gets it in stock, it is usually around 5 or 6 cents a round for the 525 packs. And I agree with you ants 100%. Do these dealers think we are dumb(some of us are I know) I told the lady asking $100 to make sure to leave room in the truck to pack it back up. Would any of you pay 10 cents a round for Thunderbolt or Remington Golden ? There was also another brand in an Orange & White box selling for $80 per 1000 consistenly by all the sellers but never heard of them. Oh well. Was at Gander Saturday and they had Remington 1400rds bucket for $129.99 so 9 cents a round. Little high there but cant find the smaller packs.

I recognized Kamikaze curve as well in the last pic. Congrats on some Great fish. Wish I had more time to hit the river. I end up taking the kids to a small largemouth pond all the time.

Wow 183 views and nadda. Now I am having buyers remorse. Got an FFL all lined up doing the transfer for only $20 so hopefully will get it this week. Guess I will create my own review and let everyone know how it works out.

Anyone own an ISSC M 22 pistol or ever shot one? I made a trip to the Unadilla gun show and flea market today. Was a really nice set up except for some of the pricing going on - Holy crapola $100 for a brick of .22 and saw a 333pk going for $45. Most of the gun prices seemed to have a little markup on them but what do you expect. So back to the pistol. I took an old Ithaca .22 with me to try and trade or sell. Within 10 minutes or walking around I had 4 offers and took the last one. I had seen the M22 earlier so I went over and the guy took $30 off the price and included the tax so I bought it. Brand new, in the box and I now have my first pistol after I get my permit amended. I think I made a hasty decision as I read some reviews and this pistol could go either way. Just looking to see if anyone has any experience with these. Damn the internet and the wonderful ideas that cross your mind after reading what others have posted!!!

The Best Buy In Bow Hunting
Zem18 replied to TheFieldArcher's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Wal-Mart.com says $16.92 for a 3 pack, not $12.97. Maybe they are cheaper in the store? I've seen a few of your videos before. I like what I see and was thinking of going to mechanicals this year. I may just try these. Thanks for the review. -
I started tagging along with my Dad, grandfather, and uncle when I was 12. My brothers had no interest so I became the benefactor of this great family tradition. My dad was a shotgun hunter only. He has hunted since he was 12 and is now 77. I started hunting at 16 and have enjoyed the last 26 years and plan on many more. Shotgun, rifle, bow, muzzleloader and a new pistol permit holder as well. I take my 12 yr old daughter and 8yr old son fishing all the time and we have also shot the .22 the last two yrs. Nothing better than sharing the outdoors with friends and family.

How Many Funny Comments Can We Post For This Pic

We give up and wave the white flags- see you after the season! -
Rub vinegar on the Charlie horses. My FIL swears that it works very quickly. I have not tried it.

Nice video, JERK

Grilled up some Elk steaks my FIL gave me. I took them camping to cook over the fire but never did so on the grill they went. Low heat, red in the middle. Little salt and pepper. They were good. Had them as leftovers in my spaghetti and wow was that even tastier.
