Get ready for more gun control BS......
Zem18 replied to Deerthug's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Just saw this on the news and saw 2 of the 3 pistols used. One was a Sig P226 and another was a Glock 34. Proof that even the strict laws in California can't stop someone who has no regard for others.Watch them Start piling on more restrictions there and then here. -
That's a slob. Nice catch.

Anyone ever buy from Buds Gun Shop online?
Zem18 replied to Zem18's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I agree that their prices are too good to pass up on certain items. I too try to shop local but saving $75 is big nowadays (at least for me). Maybe I could buy some ammo locally with the savings or an extra magazine or two. Or a few tanks of gas, or a dozen other things. I'm sure the wife could think of a few things as well and we all know it's best to keep her happy too. Thanks for sharing guys. -
I have been shopping around for my first pistol and possibly eyeing a second one. I consider myself a thrifty shopper looking for the best deal and cheapest price for me. I have visited two local gun shops here in my area. I have also gone to a big box store. One of the local shops prices beat the big box store. The other was the same or higher pricing as the big box chain. In comes Budsgunshop.com -The pricing these guys offer is amazing on a few of the items I have been looking at. Not to mention, shipping is FREE (ok not really as it is included in the pricing) but they still beat anything around here by $10 to $50 not including NYS tax. So my savings would potentially be between $45 to $75 including transfer fees to a local FFL. To me it is a significant amount to justify an online purchase from them and wanted to know if anyone else has purchased anything from them in the past. How was the service, and speed o f the transaction? Any issues you may have had? I read some reviews and most people submit negative reviews and very few positive. The reviews on their site are mostly positive and anything negative is about the actual firearm and not service related. So let me know whAt you have experienced, if anything. Thank you.

I agree to get it where you can at the cheapest price, or go in on it with some buddies. And the more purchases by NY ers out of state will result in king Andy losing more tax revenue, and hopefully him losing his job will be the end result.

Kathleen Kane rescinds Utah reciprocity
Zem18 replied to Zem18's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
The Attorney General Kathleen Kane is what happened in PA. She is very anti 2nd amendment. -
He came up with an idea but there was more to the story that I read. He was bashing FFL's for charging fees on ammo sales and then he himself was charging a fee after you set up your account to send the ammo to yourself. So it was good for him to get rich but not the FFl's is basically what it boiled down to. Once he was called out on it, he reduced or dropped the fee I believe. Thats why I stated beware is all.

That was awesome. I saw the Tom in the bottom right just before he came into full view. Congrats on a great bird and video.

This guy is on another forum and you are shipping it to yourself by creating a ups or fed ex profile. He also sells in bulk and doesn't care about the average customer needing one or two boxes of ammo. ( He posted about it himself) so beware.
-
Agree 100% but no one will ship to your house in NY. Buy local unless you get a great deal online and do not have to pay a fee to an FFL

Read online that Penn Yan got hit hard and some areas got 5" of rain and others up to 9". Reminded me of the flood down here near Binghamton in 2011. Hope everyone is OK. Any members on here from thAt area?

Concealed Carry USA class for Utah recip. permit
Zem18 replied to Fletch's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Getting a PA non resident permit is the way to go, $20 and about 30 minutes of paperwork and you walk out the door with, or so what I have read from several posts. I have not gone and tried yet but will soon. -
Awesome pictures Wooly.

Yes you can sell ammo but as far as shipping it, I cannot answer that but if it is out of state, then I don't see an issue as they don't have the same laws as us in New Yorkistan

Concealed Carry USA class for Utah recip. permit
Zem18 replied to Fletch's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
As of May 6th 2014, PA no longer recognizes Utah resident or non resident. Check post 59 here http://www.nyfirearms.com/forums/carry-conceal/73708-utah-non-resident-ccw-no-go-pa.html -
I read some reviews on Budsgunshop.com and yes they were not favorable, especially at the asking price for all the issues.

Target acquired Target expired Congrats on a beauty!

Nice Bird - Congrats

Good for you and congrats. I have been reading up on it as well and is much easier than our own state for sure.

Thanks for all the replies. I will look into the places you suggested. Forgot to mention we are tent camping. We don't need no stinking cabins. But we booked electric sites so a fan is a must. We went to Letchworth in 2012. Nice park and an overall good trip. We try to pick someplace we haven't been before so it is a new adventure for all of us.

I've seen a few of your pictures on here and man are they sweet. I know nothing about ducks but great work on the photos.

I think I'm in trouble...
Zem18 replied to Merlot's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
If you got pulled over on your way and he asked for contraband, the trooper would need a search warrant to look for contraband unless he thought you had committed a crime recently in the area or you gave him consent to search. Pop it in the trunk, they can't go in there without your permission so do not give them permission. All is good. -
Anyone ever camp in the Quaker Area of Allegeny State Park? Some friends and my family decided to pick a spot off the map and booked 5 days in July out there for this upcoming season. Just wondering what you think of the park and surrounding areas. May do a boys day on the golf course too so any suggestions on any nearby courses? ( we are not PGA pros so something cheap works) Any info is appreciated. Thanks Z
