    Didn't know that about them. Stunningly stupid to use 500 as an arrow label and not have it be the actual spine deflection.

    Lighter broadhead stiffens dynamic spine. A 450 or .500 arrow is weaker. - too week most likely for a 65 lb bow. Higher the number, the weaker the spine.

    If they stopped because of a rib or even most of the shoulder blade, you are either not shooting enough bow or most likely need more tuning. Different broadhead will not help much if it is a tuning issue - might make it worse.

    Thumb rings and other releases have been used for hundred's of years. Tommy - did you read and follow the link I posted above? It's hard to achieve any consistency with equipment not tuned well.

    I still want to know how you mount a broadhead to a bowling ball. Also which is better for a Cadillac - mechanical or fixed blade?

    Also, once you have your equipment tuned and your form down, research gap, split vision, string walking and other methods of aiming a bow without sights. Instinctive is not the only choice. You also have the option of putting a sight on the bow. Sights where not invented by or for compounds - lots of hunters used them on recurves. Many still should.

    Very likely those arrows are over spined for the bow. Length of arrows and point wght greatly effect the dynamic spine as well. Get info for setting up and tuning a trad bow at: http://www.acsbows.com/bowtuning.html

    From the article: Love these lame analogies. A bowling ball weighs 16 lbs - a baseball 5.25 ounces. 48 times more. Are comparing a 325 gr arrow to one weighing 15,600 gr? The basketball and Cadillac is even more ridiculous - weight difference is times 1000's. Anyone want to be in front of a baseball doing 480 mph? Or better yet, a basketball going 1000+ mph?

    Not that long ago they said the same about compounds over 60%. Before that releases. Have been evolving since their formation. Membership probably less than 1% of bowhunters. Hardly the defining authority.

    So because some agree that Martin was at least partially responsible for his own death by assaulting Zimmerman, and that Zimmerman (according to a court of law) broke no laws, YOU hope children die? Just spoke volumes about your character.

    If someone is on top of me, slamming my head into the ground while telling me he is going to kill me, I would take any measure possible to end the threat.Given that scenario JJB, what would your reaction be with split seconds to act.

    Regardless of why he was there, if attacked and in fear for his life, he had a right to defend himself. You don't convict and send someone to jail because of opinion. It requires one to be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of violating a specific law. Some here and around the country seem to think that that all is needed is popular opinion of a mob to send someone to jail or more. Zimmerman may very well be guilty of poor judgement, but he was breaking no laws and there is no proof he was threatening Martin in a manner justifying Martins attack on him.
