The problem is when farmers gut shoot them and let them run off to die and shooting both sexes. They are thought of as Rat's down on a couple farms near our other farm because of the so called crop damage... But wont allow hunters on the property when asked. Should be a rule where hunters must be allowed in order to get the extra tags.

What will deer hunting look like in the future
Four Season Whitetail's replied to Doc's topic in Deer Hunting
Look at the schools and the teachers for the big decline in any hunting related growth. Even in this area now they downplay hunting and killing. Now add in the gun problems of the world and you have negative after negative. Your state parks will be used by the paying campers and bird watchers. -
What will deer hunting look like in the future

There will be no state lands to hunt because the Anti's will win in due time. Their numbers go up as ours go down. There will be hunting only on big blocks of private lands and it will cost plenty to enjoy and many will be large fenced areas! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Same here 12 stands for around 1100 acres private and state park land but no ladders and 4 climbers. Need to stay free to move with the different groups of does. -

Again here we have uneducated people talking about something they are clueless about. First off only half of the herd was tested and only 20% of the herd was brain positive! Which means they were really positive. The rest of the tested animals were only node tested which mean they are only carrying the infectious agent of which could turn into CWD just like humans and Cancer. There are only two outcomes of a CWD test and that is..Not Detected or Suspect! There is a reason the state of Iowa paid these farmers millions of dollars after losing the case right in the state of Iowa. The state tried to strong arm the farm out of business because they were so successful in that state hunting on their big high fence operation, hence taking cash from the state and the judge saw thru the scam and sided with the farmers and paid them huge money for their loss! Yup a lot of sick looking deer here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well that kinda shows what don't really know about that herd. Can you tell us how many animals were both brain and node tested positive? Can you tell us why the the farm in this case won a multi million dollar lawsuit against the state of Iowa? Or maybe you can relate some info on the lawsuit they won from the state of Iowa for shutting down their farm? When states test at a 000.1 percent of their animals and farms test at 100 percent it's not real tough to figure out where it will be found first. Please do show how catastrophic this joke of a disease has been so far in the last 60 years? CWD has done no harm to any herds in any states. All their agenda pushing is just pushing more people to use high fence because they are 100% tested! All they are doing is hurting hunting and the whitetail itself. Sure is not stopping the growth of deer farming nor high fence hunting! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And all the lies and agendas that groups like QDMA and such have only hurts the deer and hunting itself. The more bull that is spread that is aimed at hurting deer farms and high fence hunting has the opposite effect and hurts hunting.

Enjoy it while you can. Time really does fly.

Agreed.....If its planted for deer and hunted anywhere near it then its baiting for deer. If you are a bird watcher that does not hunt and you plant food plots then not so much. It attracts deer to be killed.

Ha I love it. Prove you are full of bull in another thread and you have this for a back up? Whatever. The proof was shown that's all that matters! Would like to see pics of some of these trophies though. We all love big deer pics! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well developed buck so early

I know, My Bad! Here I thought everyone grew up in the sport but I guess some like it just the way it's been for the last 40 years. That's all well and fine if it was all the truth but even a couple of the so called meat hunters still show that it's the big one they hope for every sitting! -
Suffolk County 210incher in shot 09? The park gets more hunters in bow than gun so bow record would not be a shocker?

Ever had a run-in while hunting?
Four Season Whitetail's replied to uberyan's topic in General Hunting
Yet all these other states have no issues doing just what Ny says we can't? Carry on! Or in or wherever you may stick it while out there. Can't say I have ever been checked for a pistol in my possession while stopped bow hunting! -
So many miss the boat on this beauty. As has been shown here that big deer are not for everyone but for those that crave the thrill and can tough it out that place has many a jewels hiding out in its bowels! I still believe when the next record comes around it will come from that area again. What was the last one a few years back? 187 or something takin like 10 miles from the Park. Hit the treadmill and pack a lunch before ya go!

Lol. Kinda see why I don't post pics on here? Keep them close to your heart. Lol

Was down last weekend and loaded a few on the park and the farm. You have to get over to the Evertt farms Alfalfa field just outside the Castile entrance. Well over 100 head in there last weekend with 3 bucks that were just awesome. Wide, High and tines length to boot. If you still have my number text me and I will send ya a video!!
