So True. Tracking is a huge part but i believe if more guys put the effort into knowing on a high % what a deer is going to do and placing a stand accordingly to get a closer shot would up a lot of hunter success rate's.

That boy's name is Gladiator XL and believe its his 2yr old pic. He is owned by 3 farms in Texas and has probably sold over 2 million in semen sales alone. He still a pampered life in Texas at I believe 6 years old this year. No time and science has proven the fact. Your DEC specialists were the ones that said 5 years ago that CWD would devastate the herds all across the country and now states are relocating Elk from CWD positive states and releasing positive Elk from places like Wind Cave. They were and are full of it!Those that have a piece of paper and sit behind a desk no less than the everyday landowner for the most part. Anyone can go by the rules or choose not to. Guess in another year some can write another post about guys using scent when Ny makes yet another stupid unfounded law. Its to the point now in this state that people are going to do what they think is best on their properties regardless of Nys stupid laws. To each their own and if it works for them then good for them.

All one has to do is read it and compare. It sure is not a bunch of lies because everything they base it on are true facts and at the end of the day Ny state....Again...AS A WHOLE...Ranks Last. All one has to do is google the top 10 and worst 10 place to hunt whitetails in the country. And it far from just an issue of not having many trophy deer. When you have a kill rate of what 80% baby Deer killed every year kinda shows a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nope that's a fact as the state as a whole. I have made great hunting in places but it was also done on terms other than what the DEC wrote in their book as to what they think is right. Many landowners are now managing their lands on their with their rules. But the state of Ny still pulls along as the worst state in the country to hunt by the standards that were used? Weather. Nah I think the Deer world knows we don't carry real trophy Deer in any numbers, are either over ran with Deer in one area with sex ratios and Deer numbers ruining hunting or other areas with a couple deer per square mile or that the weather many years can screw ya up. Ny still own;s the title as the..Worst place in the country to hunt Whitetails.... Until DEC starts making good moves that actually help something then that title will be stamped forever.

I will bet you have a chance on bettering that number this year? With it an "open for all" season this year i am afraid to even think of what it will be. I can promise you that you wont see me anywhere near that road. lol You may also want to be careful because you may be "Quoting" one of the perfect ones that have never wounded an animal in any season.

Get your checkbook out. he does not have to because he pays in Labor. I would not bother with the place but before its over he will win because people are all about the all mighty dollar and he will save them many of those. Money talks and you can bet that after you letting him know your hand he will be talking to them in the morning about revoking your Ok to hunt.
