As a dairy farmer feeding and milking the cows twice a day. Sunday night hope to attend 40th class reunion. Monday the nearby town has Labor Day celebration Chicken BBQ, car show with DJ, Horsepull, and seeing a number of people I don't ordinarily see. Have a good holiday

planting grains or other crops is always a gamble, hindsight is always 20/20. The vo-ag teacher in school told me there is no more of gambler than a farmer. If you get rain or not, or to much rain and the seed may rot. If the time to plant now would be a good time to plant. Good Luck !!

Pistol Permit Renewal
F-150 replied to Millertime1989's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I remember reading on this forum, that pistol permit holders would have to renew every five years. If there is a fee for I don't know , a gun dealer said possibly it can be done online, only time will tell ! -
congrats Geno, Ihope you and your wife find happiness and success in your new home and business when you get it started !

congrats, your making a wise move a good archery pro shop can watch you shoot and probably recommend a bow best suited for your style. Don't be afraid to ask questions , will you still hunt ,stand or ground blind hunt.? A satisfied customer is their best advertisement.

I've had a Yamaha Timberwolf 250 since 1994, great machine, with five speed transmission. I also use it on the farm.fixin fence checking fence, rounding up the cows, bringing newborn calves in from pasture, I even haul firewood with it on a garden trailer, work great to pick rock, just step off instead of climbing up and down from a tractor.

First and foremost start with a bow that feels good in your hand. Don't go crazy on the draw weight a bow at 50 pounds will kill a deer as well as a 70- 80 pounds. If your sitting in the stand on a very cold day you don't want to struggle to pull the bow and risk scaring away your deer. Look at a bow as a long term investment, theydon't reseell for much. I get much more pleasure from shooting and hunting with the bow, than the gun.

I wouldn't walk across the road to see him. Why can't we get a true statesman elected to office instead of these partisan politicians ?

Good luck growalot with your new fridge, I hope you enjoy it, quite an investment though. I agree with you about the side by side when want to store stuff. I do like the ice and water dispenser in the door. When this one quits I will go back to the conventional fridge.

been working at it, real tough year,, I got less than twenty acres of first cut to mow yet ,slow process with ground so damp and the dew not lifting to eleven a.m. or after. Hopefully will be done in a weekif I'm lucky and hoping a killing frost holds off for corn to mature. this is certainly a very strange year.
