From the research I have done(I am a new Winchester 100 owner myself) they were made into the 70's in 308.They also made a .243 version and a .284 which is more sought after and a little more rare.

One year while hunting on last years tag up north early bow (sept 27th 2010 to be exact) I shot a doe and spined her.She was much closer than I thought.The other deer that was with her bolted a few yards and stopped so I knocked another arrow,and watched her run behind some trees.I waited for a shot but it never came.When I turned around there was a coyote closing fast from the field(she started flopping around and balling),I took aim and put the doe out of her misery and the yote just kept coming.I figured for sure he would have turned inside out but it was like he didn't hear anything.I grabbed another arrow drew and let it fly right over his back.He stopped and looked on my direction,I decided I have spent enough money already so I yelled and waved my arms to get him to leave.He ended up leaving,but it took him at least 30-40 second to make it out of sight.He wanted that doe!!!

Remington Stainless 700 in 308,but I did just buy a Winchester model 100 in 308 and wil be trying that this year I think.

Yea I had a deer that I didnt have a good shot on and it died within 140 yards from the shot.That night they tore him to pieces!!I left the area at 10 pm and found him at 630 am and the body was cold as ice.I figure they got on him within minutes of me leaving

WHerever you go,find beechnut trees or cherry trees.Look for old and fresh sign.Beechnuts may have scars on them from bears raking their claws in them and if you find bear crap,keep your eyes peeled,they aren't far.ALso concentrate on mast areas near wet areas early in the season because they will cool themselves in water during a hot day.

I have seen a few thread that are "would you shoot this buck".While I love to see all the bucks,whether they are big,medium or small.Who cares!!!! If a certain buck walks in and you like him.....shoot him,if he walks in and he doesn't do it for you....let him live for someone else or another year.While I know you cant shoot trophies if you shoot small one,I also know that you have to keep the fire burning to shoot one.Basically is what I am saying is shoot what you like,don't listen to anyone else saying "He's not 3 or 4 or 5 years old let him walk".Do what makes you happy,its your tag,time,meat,antler and your hunt.I don't want to step on anyones toes and I love seeing and shooting big deer but its the experience in the woods that does it for me.My best days in the deer woods don't revolve around many big deer.Have fun...be safe... and shoot what trips your trigger!!SOrry if I have offended anyone,thats not my aim here.

Its definitely not that.I have altered my breathing from my nose and my mouth and it doesnt change.I bought some scope antifog wipes at gander last night and will try those and let you alll know what happens

Not sure why.I do know anytime I shoot my bow they fog a little bit,so I really don't want to take a chance.

I cant do contacts,I hate touching my eyes

I usually dont wear my glasses while hunting but I have to this year.How do you guys keep glasses from fogging up while hunting?

Those jeep guy will be lucky if the next bump they hit doesn't taco that POS Cherokee.The are a unibody design and use the doors or support.Other than that its looking good bud.Go out and whack one!!!

Anywhere from 2-5.My family doesn't eat venison that much so we only have one for the freezer and I wont take another unless I know of people that want a whole deer and then they get it butchered.I used to have a few families at church that took a few each year but last year they didn't want any.

Same thing here.I had one guy that we used to be friends with trespassing so I would take them down and leave them,he would put them right back up again in the same spot!! So I took them down and brought them to work and ran them through the bandsaw a few times so all the pieces fit nicely inside a backpack and brought them back out.I don't have a problem with him anymore!!LOL

Yea you have to get away from where the people are.My friend hunts it quite a bit and he has ok luck there but he puts a ton of time in for what he gets.There are way to many slob hunters that go there and mess it all up for the rest
