No but the sterling forest is that way and my brother was working down there and hunted it for small game and did well

You may be better off looking to join a hunting club or rod and gun club be much cheaper.

Buy a kiddy pool in a few weeks when the weather is warmer she'll teach herself. Big thing start shooting around her. I have a lab that is a great retriever but just about has a heart attack when she sees a shotgun let alone hears one goes off

With a 1000 acres to hunt I wouldn't bother with the blind. I hunted a large property last year and we travel prolly a half mile once we found birds and started working them. That just my opinion though

Do bucks have nubs yet. I purchased trail cams last summer abd this is the first time I've had them up this fall so can you tell yet?

Took my cousin out Saturday and Sunday. Saturday Saw a tom with Atleast 8 hens. Sunday saw the tom again then saw a tom with 3 hens in another field this was 9f area

Been set up for a hour and just heard our first gobble 1-2 hundred yards away across a corn field

Did you have 2 toms and a hen at 5 yards but didn't shoot bc they were on a different property? If so I'd go try to get permission for that property and I don't know how far you are from where you hunt but if you can try to roost the birds tonight if possible

Once their done with the hens they're with they should move on. Also sometimes if you gobble on your box call or have a gobble call jealously might get best of them

We were working a bird today off the roost called him hard as he flew down he came in and held up at 57 yards put on a show then left had 2 decoys out. I think he got fed up that the decoys weren't coming to him so he left and we to the hens he was with so decoys don't always work either

i was in the same boat as you my brother and I are taking my cousin out I may have gotten 2 hours of sleep. We found a few birds last night so hopefully we can connect. Good luck be safe

I'll be taking my cousin out this weekend. Wanted to take him to camp and go fishing after for some perch and also get some free labor out of him but he has stuff going on in the evening so we'll be staying local. But there are more birds around here then down at camp so I guess it's not all bad
