  1. If I were homosexual, I would certainly want to be a lesbian, and if I were a dinosaur, I'd be a Lickalottapuss....
  2. Just a dusting here in Dogpatch....We are fortunate to be located in an area where we are far enough east and south to avoid much of the lake effect, and far enough north and west to avoid many of the nor'easters...
  3. I like four inches of solid ice before I venture out.....
  4. " Sally's Strange Vacation " ??.....One of my favorites, as long as I don't run short of tissues..
  5. I saw on the news that a couple of geniuses went through the ice on Loon lake, requiring several troopers to risk their own lives dragging their sorry asses out...
  6. Reminds me of The Mermaid...She clears out of the upstairs pronto when I hit the can.....
  7. I hope some sleazy crossbow hunter didn't mistake his head for a tennis ball......
  8. Nope....Just some rainbows which I cooked for for lunch along the river.... Lots of trout, but low, clear water...If you spooked a fish at the bottom of the pool, he'd head upstream and spook the entire pool..
  9. That's FOWL language....Hehehe...
  10. I hear you....My good fishing buddy Handsome Howie won't eat any trout or salmon either, but stocks his freezer with walleyes, perch, and panfish ( including bullheads) plus smallmouth bass.. I consider wild brookies the very best tasting trout, followed by wild stream browns... I don't eat many, however, because I hate to kill them, but I usually eat a few each year because they taste so good...I like landlocks the best of any lake salmonoids...Never cared much for rainbows, although I do like smoked steelhead, as long as they are fresh run...However, probably the best trout I ever ate was leopard rainbows in Alaska cooked in foil on the coals of the campfire on several moose and caribou hunts... Of course the surroundings may have affected my taste buds on those hunts...
  11. IMHO, landlocks are quite good broiled, smoked or canned Better than lake trout and FAR better than lake run browns, which taste like crap, unlike stream browns, which aren't as good as brookies, but aren't too bad.....
  12. In order to access my property, I would first have to shovel out about a four foot snowbank to open my gate... After that, if I tried to get up on the hill to my tower blind, I'd surely get stuck with the "city tires" on my 4WD pickup... Ain't no WAY would I wade through knee deep snow to my stand OR try to drag a deer back down through it.... Deer season is over for this old white boy...if it stays cold I may get to ice fish a local pond in the next few days
  13. No kidding..I have two just like those on the nightstand by my bed..
  14. You are married to that pretty young thing ?? Why you dirty old man !! You must have lots of money.... JK, Partner...Hehehe.. Back in '95 I was bowhunting elk in the Gila Wilderness in NM..Filled my tag early and spent a couple of days flyfishing the Gila for trout...It was Sept,, so no snow, but still quite a hike to get down to th river and back up....
  15. Congrats to the kid.. IMHO, the ducks taste better than the deer, are MUCH more fun to hunt, easier to carry home and the decoys are much lighter...
  16. Anybody who would grind moose rounds should be shot....Shanks, trimmings, etc. will provide a lot of mooseburger without grinding the prime stuff...
  17. The snow here in Dogpatch was about knee deep for me, so I figure we got at least six inches...
  18. Just the THOUGHT of eating those produces a very uncomfortable sensation midway between my scrotum and my bunghole...
  19. Good luck, Crappy..At least you have great tracking snow, even if she stops bleeding..
  20. One of my good hunting and fishing buddies has 3 beagles and I enjoy getting out to hear them run, usually after deer season... I even manage to shoot a few bunnies each season...
  21. It's been snowing here in Dogpatch since about 1:00 PM, but not great amounts yet..We have perhaps 4" on the ground.. However we are on the edge of the heavy predicted area..They are calling for 6-12" locally.. Hoping it's closer to six....
  22. I have a suicide knob on my 1949 Ford 9N tractor... That is standard shift also.....Hehehe
  23. When I took Driver's Ed in High school in 1965, the DR Ed vehicle was a 1963 Dodge, std transmission, slant six.... The passenger side had a clutch and a brake so that the DR Ed teacher could have some control in case of an emergency...
