Is it me or does that one buck look up at the camera a few times? Very cool videos, I'm changing mine to video next time I check em.

Any tick I've ever seen on a deer has been gray when engorged. I've never seen one on the face either. Most times in the ears or the belly or arm pit areas.

I just picked up a few connecting farms this year. We had 225 acres to cover. In the past we have only had a few small places to hunt 50 acres max. The more land the harder it is to scout. We walked all the edges of fields as well as finding a few spots we thought were funnels from the overhead maps. Our scouting came down to a few things. Find the food, find where they sleep and then find a funnel between the two. Hang a stand on the downwind side of the funnel and hunt when the wind is right. We got this property late and it's hard to get into the thick stuff after early May. We will scout hard this winter, snow can show you a lot more then all this green we have right now. We will also scout while we are on stand this fall. Keep track of what you see out there in a notebook or an online journal. It might sound stupid but it will pay off in a few years.

It's possible, larger mature deer shed end of Aug. early Sept. Younger deer hold velvet a little longer. I can only speak of what I've seen in NY with my trail cams. Velvet comes off fast, once it starts bucks go crazy trying to get it off.

It was brutal out today, thank The Lord for the new pool.

I'm not sure if those are all the same Doe and fawn, one looks shorter too me. I scouted the adjacent farm we just got permission for and found a handful of fawn tracks as well. I put three more cams out today and I have a few going in next week. We found a few beds as well. Can't wait till Oct. 1st.

I was going to text you yesterday but it got late. I'm off Sunday, I should know Tuesday or Wednesday if anything is going on. Saw a nice little six point over there yesterday.

The property owner said her apple tree in the front yard is a good place, she kicked out a buck yesterday morning eating the apples off the tree lol

Just picked up the farm to the north of the first one. Pretty excited here is a picture of it. Going to put some cams out tomorrow.

I don't know about Victory but I just picked up some Black Eagle Arrows and they are some of the most consistent arrows on the market. My groups today were all touching vanes at 30 yards. I got the carnivores but they make a small diameter arrow also, the Deep Impact. I'm going to try those next.

I still remember the first time I went shooting with my dad about 20 years ago. It's still one of my favorite memories of him. Looks like your little guy has a pretty good coach too.

I thought this was going to be a completely different topic. Good shooting though!

I have a Goliath summit climber. It's more comfortable then a lazy boy recliner. I can sit in that thing all day and I'm 6-4 and 300+ pounds, I've even used it as a hang on stand in some places I can't find a good tree because its so comfy.

Where are these pictures you speak of?

I think my fiancé figured out hunting was a big deal to me when I asked her to marry me while we were in a turkey blind lol

Ft.Plain NY (my old stomping ground) was hit with major flooding. I have family members displaced and friends with family members missing. I went through it personally seven years ago. Hope everyone on here stays safe, watch out for flash floods.

Mine hasn't been washed in a very long time. The mud helps prevent rust, at least that's what I tell myself.

I have a weaver sitting in its box I bought a few years ago. I really liked it for the price tag. I went with a BSA on my rifle over the Weaver because it was better in low light.

Wow you guys keep your cars/trucks clean. Ill have to take a picture of mine later today lol
