  1. Super Sportsman would actually be the same if they dont allow a break in that price. I paid 98 for BG, SG, Fishing, bow/ MZL, turkey tags and DMP's. If they dont offer that next season it would cost me exatcly 98 dollars for the same tags.
  2. I sell cars, it sounds like you all need new one lol. PM me and I'll give you my number and we can start setting up test drives for everyone haha
  3. My Fiance is taking her Hunter saftey course as I type this. We will see if she can actually take a deer. I told her we could go rabbit hunting and she said rabbits were to cute to kill but she can kill a deer because they are delicious lol.
  4. Would you be able to put electrical tape over that light? Maybe that would hide it better.
  5. I thought it would be cool to see what some other members goals are for the upcoming season. Like most of you I am very excited to get back in the woods. This year I did pretty much all the scouting on my own. That is a first, genrally my dad is with me or a buddy with more experience. I had some help from a few members on here on what to look for (Thank you for that). This will also be my fiance's first season hunting (she passed the bow course last weekend and is taking the hunter education this weekend). I'm pumped to have her trying something I love (she got me to own a horse or three, she owed me lol). My number one goal above all else is to have a safe season. The second is to put her in a position to be successful. For me that would be for her to have deer within bow range. If that happens then I will have had a succesful year. If I can do that and have her take an deer, that would make this the best season ever. If on top of that I could get my first buck I might have to retire from hunting. I hope everyone here reaches their goals this season. Good luck.
  6. I don,t know how crazy I am about getting that close of a look at a deer when I shot at it. I don't know if I'd fling an arrow in the direction of a $200 camera lol. Nice video though, can't believe she didn't dip with how alert she was. Nice shot placement also. Thanks for taking the time to share.
  7. We use the life lines, very good product. I remember when I was young and dumb and didn't think I needed to wear a safety harness. HSS sells a three pack of lifelines for $100 and well worth it.
  8. I havent killed a deer with the bow in two years. That and we are hunting new property this year makes my strategy simple. The first doe that walks in a shooting lane is going to get an arrow through the heart. If the first one through is a buck I might have to hold off unless its one of the few 8 points we have running around. Either way I'll be excited to be in a tree again.
  9. I have more that have to go up but being a new spot we decided to wait to do some scotuing from the stands we put up. I just want to do some shooting and spend some time with the family before I disapear for 3 months. 13 days
  10. Stress has died down a bit. Got stand #3 up yesterday. Finally found a small cluster of oak tress (first ones I've seen on the entire 200 acres) Everyother tree seems to be an apple tree, they are all loaded up. We came across 15 different beds yesterday and while we were putting the stand up we had a doe walk past us at 60 yards away just grazing away. I still can't believe all the apples.

    Corn Fields

One farm I hunt plants corn really late and leaves it up till next spring. The other is still up but it is wilting already. Not sure when they will cut it but it is very wet right now. It would be tough to get to it.
  12. Looks like a little torque from your bow hand there pushing the bow to the right on release.
  13. I'd take that view! Thanks for sharing, sometimes I enjoy watching them more then hunting them. They are an amazing animal.
  14. <br />This cam is 6 feet up and still got this one bad reaction. Might have to go higher.
  15. It's to hard to tell in those pics. They look like they could be related though, not sure if its the same deer.
  16. Between one full day off a week, a two year old in potty training and a fiancé that's learning how to shoot a bow my time is very limited. I'm going to have to take some me time real soon to get it done. Oh and a wild mustang I'm training to trail ride, the list keeps growing lol I'm sure once I get at least a few stands in I'll be ok.
  17. I would much rather see a Tiffany cam.
  18. Only 60 days till opening day and still have so much to do. I'm having a mini panic attack here as I think about the stuff I need to get done. Stands need to be checked and put up, still have to decide where they are all going to go. I have only seen one buck I would take and I didn't even see him on property I can hunt. My cams have been sitting for 3 weeks now. Hopefully they will give me a peek at what's roaming around. Anyone else having a freak out?
  19. Pic #2 will be interesting to see when he hits 3.5 or 4.5. Looks like he is going to have good mass and some stickers around his bases this year.
  20. <br />Here is my ATV, a wild mustang out of Nut Mountain CA. We still have a lot of work to do but he is coming along nicely.
  21. I'm shooting Black Eagle Carnivores. They offer .003 max and .001 max tolerances for straightness and .5 grains weight. They offer a pretty good line up of arrows from hunting to target. They also have some smaller diameter shafts. Customer service has been excellent also, I had a bunch of questions on a Saturday and the the owner answered all my questions within minutes. Very impressed with the arrows.
  22. That is one scary looking doe in the night photo! Good pics thanks for sharing
  23. Get rid of them, they will destroy your property. I've seen it first hand. They turned a small creek into three large ponds and were taking down some pretty big trees. I don't know why any of you think there isn't much food there, I see a pretty large forest on the north end of that pond. They will float trees into it, we have seen them drag large trees from 100 yards on land to their dens.
  24. Nice pics! I'm going to have to save a few dollars and get me one of those cams. Pretty sweet set up, I think the wife would kill me if she ever found out I dropped 300+ on a camera lol
