  1. I use this one... https://www.thespruceeats.com/venison-osso-buco-2313773 quite similar to The Master of the Italian Kitchen (you Know him as Otto!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. 41 degrees stout wind across my face in a little slice of 3S bow-only heaven. See if a horny fella wants to swing by for a magic hour dance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Anyone else dying to see a Go-Pro strapped to Luna and Kunox? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. What a day! As an English teacher it Looks like the hunter’s version of The final scene of Romeo and Juliet...a pair of star-crossed lovers take their life... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Not on Long Island but yes to most of the above. It’s simply part of the game when deciding to hunt public lands that are also open to other recreational activities. Go deeper...pay attention to where those deer run off to and find the most likely terrain that will not be used by the casual hiker (or hunter). Deer will burrow through and climb over some crazy terrain so don’t rule out a spot as too thick or nasty until putting eyes on it. And my final (craziest) thought...set up close to main lots. I have seen more deer bed down right near parking lots and watch all the hunters/hikers walk away to never suspect them laying right there. Glad your encounters were friendly enough- once that turns uglier time to find a new place to be in my opinion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I just climbed that type of tree on Saturday as it was my only option for the runs I wanted to cover. THE WORST! That’s another benefit of the Fanny pack- I just clip it around the trees. I eliminated any screw in hooks with a bow holder fastened to the lower platform (usually just have the bow laying on the top rail) and I snake my quiver between the cables. Calls and range finder gets looped around the top rail and even my tow rope is permanently affixed to the top rail(stored on the v when in transport. Again- These modifications work for me and took a while to get comfortable with Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    JAWS!!!

I once pulled a tooth the size of a shot glass out of a wrecked hull of a boat. Good luck with your jaws! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Fanny packs are COOL!!! If it doesn’t fit in there it doesn’t come with me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I would agree with everyone and your first instinct. A morning sit, setting up in the dark for the first time is not a good idea. I do find now that I can navigate my climber in the dark but everything is set to how I like it...that takes time and practice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I have this one for the last few years but a slightly older model - I like it. Added an official sausage stuffer this year. https://www.amazon.com/STX-International-STX-3000-TF-Turboforce-Electric/dp/B0012KJBR0 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Buddy took a nice doe this morning. One of my sons (just observing) was up with us in a ladder about 100 ladders from me. He saw two deer so a great day all around. I had a doe come by that I decided too late to make a play on and she caught me reaching for my bow. Double lung down in sight after 150 yard sprint. Great tracking experience for my son. 15. Pretty sure he’s still blaming that night on his whiff last year! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Mama Pygmy would have to be 7’2” to account for your height and to make up for some vertical deficiencies of the seed sower! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Awesome looking - We will be sending a SE representative to the “area” to confirm the area’s potential. Have I seen that shirt on Sodfather?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
