  1. Great to see your work here again and what a what piece! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Live From Williamsburg, VA field trip watching for Cynthia and Bill’s successful find! Give deer search another call this morning if you don’t find her by 8...usually the time they start answering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Depends on what you charge an hour(you lawyers out there can’t afford yourself to cut your own!)....I’m about 4 - 5 hours over a few days to get it looking this way. I use freezer paper most times (don’t last longer than a year anyway). However I never seen a deer come back from a processor as clean. It’s worth it to me and enjoyable to spend time. My teachers were people on this site and videos. Notice my daughter’s backpack? I break it down in the kitchen after quartering in my back yard. it’s not a bloody mess once it’s quartered and really ain’t that bad after field dressed and skinned. Carcass goes in contractor bag and regular trash pick up...i live in 3S(aka “the city” to some) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Gary is a stone cold stacker of deer!!! Atta boy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Give a look at Ninham Mountain. Prob 50 minutes from Bronx. Park as high up you can toward the fire tower trail (up to the tight) and then walk the “blocked road” to the left. Gets good and swampy to the left and high ridges to the right. It’s shotgun country and where I got my first deer (15-20 years ago). Pressure lightens after opening weekend but I haven’t been there in years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Could you run across some a$$hat who says that even though you are clearly squirrel hunting you are indeed aiding the kids in their deer hunt by moving game??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Welcome to the board! I’m a 3S Bowhunter who hunts very small pockets of Westchester lands and in a deer management program so unfortunately cant “share” any space. However I’d happily give you a hand with the field dressing/butchering when you are successful depending on where you end up harvesting one. If you hang around the dinner thread at all you’ll see some familiar place (Full moon, Borgattis, casa de moss...etc). Love Arthur ave Is Olinville Arms still open on Westchester Ave? They may be able to hook you up with a mentor(think retired cop/hunter). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. If you are looking to adopt another son, I may be available (somewhat housetrained and decent at doing $hit!)....Lets try this out...wow Dad that sausage looks awesome. Can you show me again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Dr Moog assured me that my buddy’s buck from yesterday is fine and edible even though it has puss spilling out his head from a fight this fall it seems...busted up times are more evidence of said scrapes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Atta boy, Grampy. I am so happy for you continually “checking boxes” in the sport. Such an awesome story about the doctor’s orders to boot. You are truly THE MAN Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. More!!! Tell me more...was it a spiral ham to start??fresh ham? Temp of oil? Time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Great...I’ll be watching! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Just be prepared....I’ve made venison liverwurst before and have to grind the partially frozen liver. That process may have been the most grotesque venture I’ve been a part of in the kitchen. Sights, smells and sounds are all dicey. I enjoy the liverwurst but the grinding was tough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Buddy got a busted up 5pointer who was a real fighter. Anyone think there’s any issue with the quality of the meat with this puss coming out of his forehead from a “recent” battle? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Can you not pee with that gear in due to fear of electrocution? My toes were burnt frozen by 8:30 today. By 9:00 they lost feeling so i was able to stay posted until 11:00 when I started a push/bump drive for the two guys I was with- one saw a good 8 dogging a doe to one area that I tried to move back to them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. If you fall 70” shy of the 1000” prediction you may be kicking yourself harder! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Interesting morning....small doe beds down 7:30: two larger Doe run through another field. Good Buck with nose in a$$ of yet another doe bed down in thick crap. 4 pointer later comes through too far for me. All through thick thick stuff no shot except for the baby of course. Heading back soon after a quick warm up. Wind was relentlessly cold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I’m up and heading out soon in 4Y...missing those early bow season temps already Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. That feels like a Biz-like prediction- please tell us that you know he has a handful of bone right now....you know what I mean! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. That’s what she said.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Webster just updates its dictionary to included Rob’s image as the illustration for the word “due”...later it will be next to “got it down” - since predictions seem to be the rage I predict this is a memorable bow season fo you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. This is crazy..the fact that you “gentlemen” lump Bigfoot into this clearly asinine conversation is mind boggling. One is real and walks among us; the other is just a figment of Pygmy’s newfound trapping imagination. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I imagine keeping her calm when you are walking out for a track will be the Greatest challenge....heal quick Luna Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. To place such sorcery (my new fav words which came from a recent hamburger recipe!)over the new hunters to the ranks is too much pressure. Our very own Robhuntandfish (slayer of fin and fur) appeared trembly on hunt 41. Please leave our newbies out of your “fun” Unfortunately poor Jayson has received some poor advice from Moog. I am certain he has a muff already but a BUCKET HAT TOO is a lot to handle this early.. Go get em Kidz!!!! This is awesome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
