Well my guess is that these guys are quite successful on their hunts so their hands are too full of other things(horns, feathers, does,) and less important things(lights, knives, backpacks, bows- don’t need it anymore today!) are left behind! Gotta play the rules they lay out. We were the home team in game one- up 5-2 with 10 minutes left on the time limit. 1 pitch pop out, 5 pitch strike out, mound visit to discuss how to pitch their 10 hitter(?!?).3 outs. 4 minutes left and we are up. Mandatory take 2 strikes. 1st batter out, 2nd batter walk, pop out....game over due to time limit. Guaranteed championship game (4:15..108 heat index predicted!)for us today-one pool play left (11:00)but we can’t be caught. Championship will be tough but our pitchers are all available. Should be my boys pitching and catching the chip game so a ton of pacing for me. Nice to see this team come together a bit at the end of a long struggling season. I know an old timer who “takes an alcohol bath” after he showers after working in the field. I never heard of such a thing but he said after he takes a regular shower he takes rubbing alcohol and pours some in his cupped hands and then spreads it all over himself.
