Here’s a thought that popped in my overly vacuous mind....if MLB teams carry 12-14 pitchers why not staff your own with 12-14 “closer” types....guys with 1-2 pitches that can “empty the tank” for a very abbreviated game for them. Everybody gets 1-2 innings every game depending on pitch count. Positives- hitters can’t get too comfortable seeing the same guy 2 or 3 times; fresh arm every inning or so; match up stronger arms with top of line up. Negatives- can arms recover night to night even with limited pitches; getting pitchers to commit to that without ability to “build their stats;” costly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jumped in the kayak for an evening float at Lake Mohansic in Yorktown. Wet a line for a few bass but more entertained by the birds So I got a little too close for his/her comfort and jumped it from the nest. I didn’t even know it was there as I was fishing the shaded shoreline and all of a sudden we were eye to eye! Not a bird guy so have no idea what it is but I can talk you it’s fast as hell, has a shrieking chirp when angered and doesn’t like fat guys in kayaks near it’s nest. Cool that you received a response from someone in the business. But the grey/black squirrel comment confused me. Is he saying that black is a color phase of a grey squirrel? I always thought (based on urban legends of course) that black squirrels were relatively unique to areas by NYC and rare in the woods beyond.
