  1. So I have 2 small venison leg roasts (totally 3 pounds or so) swimming in corning brine. They should be ready tomorrow to boil, but what if I don’t want to finish them this weekend? Can I freeze it after the brine but before the boil? Should I boil it off then freeze? I was thinking of freezing it before I boil WITH some of the brine liquid in a zip top bag-trying to replicate what corn beef looks like prior to boiling in St paddy’s day. Advice??? 2. Not slamming Boone after last night but I often had the thought that he may not have the right chops to turn this bunch around if/when things go wrong. Seems meek. That 8 run inning last night was remarkable- pointed out many of what Biz said above. Only consolation in last nights loss is that Biz’s prediction was wrong-shocking right? He’s usually spot on (like the weatherman) with predictions of baseball and hunt outcomes!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Every once and again we used to hit “Kegs and Eggs” at O’Flatts (or was it Daps) near Siena College back in the day. Truly a breakfast of champions for college kids. Best breakfast (maybe meal) was in Gallway at a local pub having an Irishi breakfast (sausage, blood puddings, etc) and a few Guinness to wash it down. That’s a breakfast that kept me full until dinner! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Yikes...got ugly quick! Red Sox used two little league plays in the same inning and the Spankys has bonuses what to do! Holder went 25 pitches, 6 RUNS, and never recorded an out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. It’s my favorite not only because it’s a good deer but more so since I set a ground blind 10 yards behind this camera two hours before it was taken. And I was in said ground blind when it was taken and I shot high and gave him a bad scratch.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Oh I see what you done there!!! Feels like a new story is brewing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. 2 over easy under some venison breakfast sausage and cheese. The result of waking up at 4am and not needing to be at work until 8:30...wtf?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Good luck!!! Where abouts? Outfitter? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Only took a bunch of raspberries and a handful of the coral shrooms (cuz they are cool!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Spicy calamari and piled on nachos...that lettuce belongs to Mrs Crappy’s salad which is next to her burger(no bun-so no picture! She’s sticking gluten free🤢) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Unrelated but while I gotcha here- what casings do you use for your sausage(not smoked typed but regular Italian or brats)? I’m not happy with the rubbery feel of the ones I used Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Point blank...I blew it TWICE last year. One I missed a doe who was TOO CLOSE and climbing up a cliff next to me and another I rushed. I did kill a spike there which I thought would have kept me in but no dice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I just got booted out of the deer management program in Westchester since I didn’t kill a Doe last year- kind of sucks since I hunted those properties often especially hilltop Hanover farm- I may be checking some of those sites for this year - I’ll let you know what I find Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Nice. Cigarette lighter from cars! I didn’t smoke a lot(chewed more than smoked) but when I did I swear I did it just to use the car lighter!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Elmo wins....using the Price is Right rules...TF overbid but not by much (including the available credit on the cards!!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. These popped up today in Rye, NY Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Stop being rational!!! This is NY hunting!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. From the first pic it looked like oysters because of the gills heading down the stem but then seeing the size and where they are growing that ended that thought...crazy how EVERY aspect (color, growing area, size, gills) must match the edible one. If something seems off, I don’t bother risking it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Other states tests (PA on-line course for one as told by someone earlier here) are recognized by NY and if that is the case why not have your own on-line version-it is created already. It’s just called “homework” now that must be down before the seat time class. I just don’t understand why it takes 8 hours to teach “know your target and beyond” and read the regs book which changes all the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks...not planning on eating anything with scary look-a-likes. I figured if anyone you would be interested in what I found just walking the streets near my house. Certainly my daughter and wife thought I was nuts for even noticing them let alone photographing them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Time out! You eat raw venison heart? What’s the process? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Brats were better than my first attempt but STILL too dry but absolutely edible(just not servable to guests). One of the other large drawback is the casing. They are NASTY-tough, rubbery, thick inedible. What do others use besides these: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
