I have been saying for a good long while now that hunters themselves are huntings worst enemies. Anti-hunters, government, gun-grabbers haven't done a fraction of the damage that hunters themselves have done. Of course most hunters will continue to argue how much MORE intelligent and upstanding citizens we are supposed to be than the other side. I've got some news for them, I am sorry to say.

I make NO assumptions. You have been talking about others taking your money in several posts now. So exactly who is taking any money from you other than tax money? Wouldn't you exercise your 2nd amendment rights if someone cornered you to turn over your wallet? LOL

So you clowns think some of steal from you?? Maybe you guys should get educations and find better jobs? At Christmas I got a $28,000 bonus from my employer, maybe I can send some money to you fellas? I'd be more than happy to give to the poor. I'd be more than happy to accept. Would 90% be fine? That was the rate for the wealthy when I was a wee lad. To me, you're exceptionally wealthy. I don't make that bonus amount in one year. You are a very blessed, and lucky person. And, no, I don't want your money in reality. But, how is stealing mine to promote someone else to my benefit, and why should I comply, except that force is used to take it from me, and threat of harm to my person, individual liberty & rights is threatened if I don't? How does such advance freedom? No, I am not wealthy. Money really doesn't mean much to me any way. What I earn is thru hard work. My only point here is that you'd better think before you shoot your mouth off and make assumptions that those who don't agree with your politics are sponging off the system and YOUR lousy tax money. If you don't earn in a year what I do from my bonus only, you are obviously not supporting too many people out there with your lousy tax dollars!

Since they are intermixing illegal immigrants and DOMA here, I guess one can say they are afraid of gay mexicans? LOL These fellas obviously have issues with their own sexuality, so I'd reckon they better be careful when they bend over to pick up their sombrero's at the next Mexican hat dance they attend! LOL

Again Steve you missed the whole point.. the point is that a US President has taken sides against a federal immigration law (already in place) and is sueing a state in the US that is trying to enforce it... It doesn't matter why the illegals are coming here..it only matters that they don't belong here.. and a sitting US President and his minions are siding with illegal aliens and want to punish a state for enforcing current federal illegal immigration policy... stay on the subject at hand and put down the kool-aid you'll understand this a lot better You are telling me I drink Kool-Aid? What in hell are you guys drinking to cause such fear and paranoia? Surely way more potent than anything I drink. I didn't miss the point on anything. I simply stated what I know would definitely curtail illegal immigration in this country since you guys are paranoid about illegals like you are about most things. That's BS. Bush was president for 8 years and had majorities in the Senate and House for 6 of those years and exactly what did they do to stop illegal immigration? JACK, that's what. Businesses give campaign contributions to both republicans and democrats to look the other way on this issue. As I said, crack down on employers and they will not be swarming in like they are now. It won't happen though because capitalism has always liked cheap labor.

You want to stop illegal immigration?? Get US employers to stop hiring them. It is against US employment law to hire someone without a SS # and a couple of proofs of legal residency documents. It isn't rocket science to figure out who is legal or not. Crack down on employers who hire them and illegal immigrants won't be swarming in looking for work if there is NO work to be had. It won't happen though, because American business WANTS this cheap form of labor, and businesses pay off politicians on BOTH sides of the aisle not to stop this flow of cheap labor. Very simple, but of course the Mexican's are the ONLY ones at fault here according to many American patriots.

What do you think would make a more positive impression on the non-hunters out there ?? Having a self-professed right-winger talk about the positive virtues of hunting or someone who is NOT associated with any such ideology? If there would only be someone brave enough out there who is not a pawn of any particular ideology and yet enjoys hunting who would want to speak out on it's behalf! That would be the best damned representative we could hope for. Of course many on the right would in short order try to find something on him, just so that THEY could lay claim to being the representatives. Just like you see here on this forum. God help those who actually can understand why the other side might think the way they do. Some here would never even want to hunt with the likes of us or let us anywhere near their hunting camp! LOL

I however will NEVER understand why every bloody hunter out there should be expected to follow lockstep with the NRA, the republican party, or any other group for that matter, and if they don't they are automatically blacklisted. Exactly who made it law that hunters need be members of these organizations and not have differing views?? That to me is the underlying issue of ALL these recent threads, and I surely won't shy away from making my opinion heard whether some want to blacklist me or not.

Dude, you keep posting this stuff where you imply that anyone who doesn't see things the way you do is un-american, a commie, shameful, etc., etc. If anyone tries to debate you, you automatically pull out the un-American card. You ask for it and then you get it, that is how I see it here anyway. You were the first to state here that if one is not an NRA member, votes republican only, and similar crap like that, that YOU would not want to hunt with them or have any other association with them. It probably might be banned for the adult content, but would be downright perfect for the minimum requirements that might be needed on (male) hunters!! Three inch minimum might work on humans, too! LOL

This is interesting actually. I don't know what someone can call the need for tobacco or alcohol consumption, but cars in general probably don't need to go faster than 65 if 65 is the maximum speed limit allowed anywhere in this country. Now if we were to apply some of these theories to guns, what can we say guns were originally invented for? Whether it's for war, hunting, self-defense, I think it's primary objective is to stop or kill something, be it human or animal. If government feels a need to put restrictions on tobacco, alcohol, fast cars, (who's main purposes are not killing) why would someone think that guns should get an easier pass and be allowed to just anyone who wants one?? Now I surely am not saying that they shouldn't be allowed, only saying that if people have a beef with tobacco, alcohol, fast cars, it's only natural that more than a few would have a beef with guns and their easy availability. That is my only point here. Just trying to make some people see some light on how and why the other side might view guns the way they do. In my opinion it is a good thing to try to understand why other people think the way they do. Just thinking that ones way can be the ONLY right way is really not a productive way to go about things.

Actually "seperation of church and state," is not explicit in the constitution. I was correct in my hunch that it wouldn't take long for someone here to make this point. Many times things are like clockwork on hunting forums. We can set our clocks to what will be said, and when. LOL I always have said that if there was an open season on hunters, the vast majority would get shot at first light on opening morning. They surely are not very difficult to pattern. LOL

I do sympathize. I am so darned lucky where a family friend gives me and my uncle use of his summer house and 180 acres of land for hunting anything we want to hunt. We do pay him something, but it's honestly not a heck of a lot for what we get. It's not prime deer habitat, but we have shot a couple of deer or more per season on it for almost 20 years now. The owners health is not too great and if he departs this world one of these years, I will be in the same boat as you. Not an easy undertaking to find private hunting land, that's for sure.

I am NO where near as one sided in my political thinking as you. You take the prize here, there is no doubt about that. All I can tell you is that if you think that America has become such a God awful shameful place, you should then find some place else to live where you will be more comfortable. Thinking that everyone will conform to your way of thinking will NEVER happen in this country or any place else for that matter. Like I said before, you'd better start getting used to it. You are obviously a very unhappy man. I feel sorry for you. It honestly has to be your own doing and your own failures to accept the fact that other people will have differing opinions on things that has led to this.

Great point! If you act and talk like you are a few cards short of a full deck, then society will come to the conclusion that you probably are. Fanaticism, whether from the left or right is really NO different. People who can't take a minute to try to understand what the other side might be saying are people that will never be taken seriously and forever be outcasts. Many here obviously want to continue down the same worn out path, to the regret of the rest of us who CAN listen to other points of view and want to advance hunters and gunowners from old stereotypes, many which are obviously very true from what we vividly see from many members here.
