    11/9 Buck

    Congrats on your buck!
  2. So what do you think? Was that Glenn on the radio towards the end? Kinda sounded like someone saying, "Help"? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  3. Can anyone see the video? Wondering if the links are working?
  4. Try this link... http://s216.photobucket.com/user/CabinFeverBob/media/IMAG0057_zpsiy9rqwlp.mp4.html?sort=3&o=0
  5. Huh... Shows up for me? Its a 45 sec video, maybe it'll just take a bit to load?
  6. Got a great video of a big buck working a scrape. http://vid216.photobucket.com/albums/cc54/CabinFeverBob/IMAG0057_zpsiy9rqwlp.mp4
  7. Sat in a stand in between 2 thickets where I keep a shooting ~200 yard shooting lane mowed down. There's several crabapple trees alongside this lane and the bucks have a few scrapes in it also. Hoped I could catch a buck traveling the lane, checking out the bordering thickets. I saw a big bodied deer step out into the lane ~120 yards away. I grunted twice. He picked his head up to look, then started galloping towards me! He stopped by 3 scrapes on the way to me and put on the best show I've ever witnessed! He looked like a rototiller going at those scrapes! LOL Dirt, leaves, and grass flying up 5' in the air, lowering his back to rub urinate, and standing on his hind legs to aggressively work the licking branch at every scrape! The way he was galloping directly towards me, I was wondering how I was going to get him to turn broadside! Not gonna lie, the show he was putting on had me shook! LOL Right after working the scrape at 25 yards, as if right on cue, he turned broadside and posed for me! He went ~100 yards and dropped.
  8. I use a Carbon Express decocking bolt. http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Express-22-Inch-Crossbow-Release/dp/B015ZLKCE2 I picked up mine at Dicks. Just shoot it into the ground, only goes in ~4". Haven't had an issue. Sure more convenient than lugging around a target to shoot a fieldpoint into.
  9. I'll post the story up in the crossbow harvest thread later.
  10. Cool! I'm still eagerly anticipating getting one on cam at my place!!
  11. Got some cool looking bucks there Mike!! Have fun with them and good luck!
  12. Just a few scrapes in neck of the woods in 8F. Cams still showing very little daytime buck activity. I stopped by North Country Products in Lyons and picked up some fresh deer urine ($24 for 2oz of Top Shelf and $24 for 4oz of Peak of Estrus), hoping to lay a drag line scent trail. I had a little 6pt cross it today, but it didn't seem interested in the least bit... He just wandered away.
  13. Sure could use a nice hot cup of coffee right now... YAWN...
  14. Absolutely DEAD so far! Just 1 red fox... My son came home from NH to hunt with me for the weekend, so I hope he can connect on something anyways.

Temps dropping this weekend. Hopefully they'll get moving before you head out! Maybe Saturday everyone in your group will have deer hanging! Hunt all day if you can!
  16. You're doing a great service! I hope the hunters appreciate what you're doing and compensate you well! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
