Congrats! He's a stud! -
I have a TenPoint Turbo XLT II and a Carbon Express Covert SLS. Had to pick up a 2nd xbow, because my daughter hunts with the TenPoint when she goes with me, as it has the acudraw and it's easy for her to cock.

That's a bummer! Hopefully things activity will pick up for you. Unfortunately, the warm temps expected this week won't be of any help to you.

Should have been a perfect morning, but nothing is moving. I seldom see activity during bright moons like we had last night. Gotta try though... Had a doe and two fawns come by hauling ass, from the neighboring apple orchard. Nothing trailing them though. Assuming workers kicked them over or maybe the neighbor checking traps. As long as they come by, I don't care how they get here!! LOL -

Yesterday morning on my way to work, I saw a mature buck (rack almost as wide as his ribcage) at 7:45 walking in an open field 75 yards off the road. He had his nose to the ground, swinging his head from side to side, like a bird dog on a hot trail! I drove by the same field this morning and there was a doe, the mature buck, and two smaller bucks! I pulled off to the side of the road to watch the show! The mature buck just stood guard over the feeding doe. Everytime the smaller bucks tried to get within 50 yards or so of the doe, he would run them off, then run back to the doe! Those smaller bucks just didn't give up though! It was great to watch!!

'Ole Glen will be one lucky MOFO if he does make it out of that mess! LOL

Here's one I got on a trailcam several years ago. One and only time I got pics of him.
-
I hope he sticks around. His rack sure looks similar to the buck that was killed last fall. I really think its his offspring...
-
Had a great buck around last fall, but someone killed him during gun season. I checked cams today and had a nice buck show up. His rack reminded me a lot of the buck from last fall. After comparing pics, the racks are very similar with the same characteristics (ribcage type profile, sticker points, and crabclaw type G4's). I'm thinking this might be the offspring from the buck that was around last fall.? What do you think?

A few years ago, my son's football cleats stunk terribly from practicing in the rain and they never had time to dry, as he had practice or games every day. They smelled musty and rank! You couldn't be in the same room with the things and he had to keep them in the garage. I was ready to burn them! One day I thought about spraying scent killer in them, just to see if it would help.... Had nothing to lose. I was amazed at the improvement! I would guess they were 95%+ better!

Nice buck wooly! Great pics too!

If you were only going to use it for a crossbow, I would recommend a TenPoint Steady Eddy. If you want a rest that you can use for both crossbow and guns, I also use a Primos Trigger Stick bipod and like that.

Glad to hear that's all it is! Was thinkin' we might all have to pitch in for some bail money if we didn't hear from him soon!!

Crab trees
Cabin Fever replied to Bowshotmuzzleloader's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I have crabapple trees and wild pear in several areas. The deer love them! The trees near bedding areas will usually be their first stop in the evenings before heading out and the last stop in the mornings before heading to bed. Have pics at all times of the day in those areas too, as they seem to come out for a quick snack once in a while. Especially the fawns. Must be they have a sweet tooth and are like kids in a candy store! LOL Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
