Good example of why I don't bowhunt in the rain! Some guys insist on pounding their chests and saying, "Hunt in the rain! You can't kill 'em from the couch" ! But, I've also see a LOT of those guys with their tails between their legs after hitting one in the rain, and losing the bloodtrail too! Everyone envisions a classic double lung hit and a short bloodtrail, but it doesn't always work out that way that way! Sometimes, even good hits leave spotty bloodtrails, and following one of these in the rain makes it next to impossible!! No sense in shooting them, if ya can't find them!! JMHO....

That's your call. Depending on what and how much is blocking your view, you could start with just trimming off a few limbs, to make a hole to shoot through. That way, you still have some cover. If that's not enough, and you can get away with it, lop off the top. Or, if you have enough cover, cut the whole thing down. (Then again, I have been called "Clear-Cut" before!! )

Just reminded me! Last fall, I was in my stand and saw yellow bobbing it's way to me through the woods. As it got closer, I could see it had a squirrel attached to it! The nearest cornfield was ~300 yards away. The squirrel stopped ~5 yards in front of me, looked up at me a few times, and buried the corn ear right there under some leaves. Had to chuckle to myself thinking I'd have a lot of explaining to do if an ECO showed up and I had to explain the corn ear "conveniently" placed 5 yards from my stand! LOL "No, really officer, a squirrel put that there!" Wondered if the squirrel was trying to help me OR get me into trouble!

Yeah, just doesn't make much sense, does it....

Then maybe she wouldn't make too much of a mess in that sissy truck of yours then?!
