  1. Well to be fair to the yote, he did make the top of the hit list!
  2. Hope he sticks around DSCF0078.AVI DSCF0018 (1).AVI
  3. Not much. Had him at 15 yds as a 3 year old, was doing some in season scouting and had a thick row of blackberry between us. See him in the distance several times that year. Last yr we never saw him or got any pics but his sign, tracks, scrapes, and monster rubs were around. Now this year he is showing up a lot.
  4. Yeah Im thinking about it. Probably be like eating shoe leather
  5. Correct on 1,2,3 and 6 but there are 4 here. Easy to pick out the big guy. Split G2, crooked brow and has a notch in his left ear.
  6. I see some nice plump doe in there
  7. Just a few from my first pull. Have gotten 380 pics since June 1st.
  8. Just read the story, great job keeping at it. You should be proud of yourself, soo many folks give up way to soon. Beautiful buck, damn this hot weather!!
  9. You are in the ball park. I have an 8 I took when I was 16 that scored at 130 1/8. This one here has a bit more length.
  10. Had this guy at 50 yards this evening. Not comfortable with that distance so let him walk. Maybe this weekend. Did have another mature 8pt under my stand just as day was breaking. So close . . .
  11. Only on the camera at night. Staying out of the area until he starts popping up during shooting hours. Hopefully it works.
  12. Chinese barking spider ? or a Side Mountain Bear Cat ? not sure which.

    Rut!

I also hunt 9R and 9M and like you not seeing much happening. No scrapes yet other than mine. Very few rubs, lots of young bucks in groups, big bucks still moving at night on my cameras. I am getting a lot of attention at my mock scrapes at night also. Did watch a fisher catch and eat a grey squirrel yesterday am.
  14. Rain doesn't bother me a bit, Im water proof , have one of them umbrellas for the tree, and super quiet rain gear. Just pack extra coffee and sandwiches. You stay warmer on a full belly !
  15. Sticking with tried and true G5 Montec.
  16. could always shame him and post it up on the forum there also! Has worked for me in the past.
  17. This is the first time I have seen splits like that too. Another thing I should say is every picture I have posted, only a few this year, are all on public land :-) Of course my spot is a secret for a reason lol.
  18. 2 different bucks about a mile apart, same night. I haven't seen much of these 2, they are near my kids stands so if they don't get a shot at them, I can not wait to see them next year. I have them at about 2.5-3.5 yrs old right now.
  19. Im not sure how you all hang your stands, but I have been using a climber for the last couple years. One thing I like to do is take my stand in the day before I plan on hunting it. I hang it on the base of the tree all set and ready to climb. This way when I go hunt in the am, or evening I have one less thing to carry. I have a hard time carrying my stand, bow, backpack etc all at the same time since I have had 5 different back surgeries, and Im usually a mile or so from the truck, so this just seems to help me out. I place a cable lock on it so I won't have to worry about a thief taking it. I was just wondering if anyone else did anything similar to this?
