  1. You know you are right, he may trip on that thing. You may want to have me come over and get rid of that old miserable bird.
  2. Looks like you are in a nice spot !
  3. what brand camera? I like the speed of the video. Never mind, I see it says Moultrie on the bottom :-) had to put my glasses on lol
  4. Nice, I started mine a few weeks ago also. They are getting pounded ! I unfortunately I pulled my cameras because I hunt public land and a lot of local jokers are out and about right now. I don't want them to come up missing.
  5. I just looked in the mirror, I think it might be mine
  6. Very nice looking deer !! Hope he is sporting your tag the next time we see him !!
  7. Nice looking deer, what is the date of the picture? Ours have rubbed clean now.
  8. Yeah we figure 4, have seen him as an 8pt the past 2 seasons, this makes the 3rd season as an 8pt.
  9. Pulled my camera for the first time. Its been set for 3 weeks. Besides the usual does, fawns, scrub bucks and a few nice 8 and 10points that are young and still small, I found this fella. Have seen him the last couple years hunting, but never got any pictures of him until now.
  10. errr LI is where it's at. There are very few deer left in WNY !! Actually I hunt 9R, 9T, 9M and the population is way down compared to a few years back. Have lived here my entire life and have never see so few deer. There are a few exceptions, ie farmers with very large tracts of land that do not allow others to hunt their property. Permission to hunt private land is very very hard to come by now a days.
  11. Don't forget to put a card table in there !
  12. I like to run a drag line late October until the end of bow season. Then I use scent sticks for gun season. Have had good luck with drag lines especially on Halloween. The scent sticks work just well enough to stop a moving buck long enough to get a good shot before they take off again. Hunting pressure is very low where I hunt during bow season, but come rifle season its like WW3. over 3k acres of state land and hundreds of hunters all over the place. I have a nice little spot that I have not seen another hunter in over 10 years, but the pressure all around just pushes them delicious animals over to me :-)
  13. I have tried several different masks, but I always had problems with them fogging up my glasses in the cold. I switched over to face paint several years ago, and love it. No more problems, works well. Only downfall is that I sometimes forget I have it on, and will go into a store, or restaurant and get some weird looks lol.
  14. Hey guys, I want to try out a scent dripper this year. Been hunting for 25 years and never tried one. Any advice you all could give me on setting them up, what scent to use, when to start them, etc would be very appreciated. Todd
  15. I have a 9H looking to trade for 9M or 9R
  16. I have hunted it for 26 years, still do. The bikers generally stop riding around the time rifle season opens, but some of the knuckleheads think they need to be out there when we are so keep your eyes open. They like to where weird colors, some are dumb enough to where brown and white. There will be many hunters up there, but they spread out pretty good over the nearly 7k acres that are available. Deer numbers have been low up there for a few years, last year was as bad as I have seen. This year is a little better with more deer seen so far, and there are several nice black bear in the area. Tons of coyotes have raised heck with the deer and turkey up there so if you get the chance knock some down.
  17. Found my thread, thanks boss, now I need to find some damn deer. I think someone needs to let them out of the barn yet...
  18. I have 9M looking to trade for 9R.
  19. Looks like a mineral block there in the pictures.
  20. This is incorrect, you get 1 buck only tag for Rifle season ie regular season, you get 1 either sex tag for bow/muzzleloader, and 1 doe tag if you purchase the muzzle loader and bow license. Then you can apply for DMP also for $10 Chance of getting up to 2 DMPs for that $10. You may get none also. Chances of getting drawn depend on the DMU you put in for, the odds vary greatly.
  21. No, I have always received them all at the same time, including this years that I received today. All deer, turkey, bear, fishing ect.
  22. Nice pics, I hope they don't get all busted up before you get a crack at one.
  23. I might as well get in, not that I stand much chance against some of you guys.
  24. Im with you, unfortunately I have to dump the kids off to school first so I wont get set until about 8am :-(
  25. Our forcast is for cooler weather starting Monday. Should be in mid 60s next week with evening lows in the 40s. hope it helps !
