Not sure what your issue is with steel (nor I care :-)) Just saying, take a look at this steel slug I used for the 11 pointer I got few years back... shot and recovered with no damage to the round whatsoever. Since then I bought like 200 rounds, I hope it will last me for a while. Awesome stopping power, nothing like lead plus no fragmentation which is positive. I'm not criticizing, just sharing my experience....

They are still considered antlerless, so no worries there....

I'm in in the east, so basically nothing changes for me, but it sucks for some other areas. For instance at Sterling Forest you will see the big 12 pointer and you can't shoot it during bow or MZ season... it blows. In western NY they basically declared war on does, I guess you have too many deer...

I saw that being done on state land in CT managed by DEP. I guess there were no issues....

That was just dumb, how can you expect only yotes eating your bait? If he had yote problem why not just shoot them, I personally don't know any DEC Officer that would give you grief over a yote, just saying.
