I don't have a levergun so I can't tell from experience but I hear from the guys at the club that it is overkill, too much meat damage and such. I guess I would recommend go ahead and try it and let us know how did it go. :-)

You just shot a buck there, why move it? Leave it where it is, apparently it was successful. Just don't over hunt it.

I think it's literally 2 feet as long as it's not "city/town owned" then you free to fire....check your local maps what govt owns, then you good to go.
