    Beer Cans

    Nuff said... :-)
  2. It is known as our Labour Day in Europe.... parades and stuff... also known to bring some unrest to the region... go figure...
  3. Crossbow on a turkey for a beginner? You can't be serious.... nothing worse than a bit off shot for the first kill and she will see the bird flopping for hours...damage done for life. Naaa, thanks, I would recommend stick to shotguns.
  4. Too bad we can't hunt in the city
  5. #1 Yes, If it's not your or public land you are trespassing. It is your obligation to know land boundaries. #2 I'm talking here about shotguns/rifles for hunting, not side arm for protection, it was clear there were hunting with decoys and stuff, as long as you have valid pistol permit no ECO will give you grief, other than that you will have some splainin' to do. #3 Destroying/stealing (or attempting) private property, the cam in this case. Good job OP for following through
  6. Report them, walking and trespassing with guns in the woods out of season is "prima facie" proof of hunting, they don't have to be shooting at anything. I see at least 3 violations and you have proof on camera.
  7. Old one but an interesting one... http://www.cnet.com/news/for-extreme-gardeners-shotgun-shells-full-of-seed/ I think I'm into gardening all of a sudden :-) That gives "making a food plot" a whole new meaning... lol
  8. Seriously wooly, you should do more advertising, as far as I'm concerned these pics should be on the cover of NatGeo magazine, this is an awesome work.
  9. That's awesome... Thanks for sharing.
  10. Spillover from NJ would be my guess, some northern NJ counties have unlimited tags.
  11. http://www.timesunion.com/news/article/Buffalo-roaming-in-Bethlehem-6221286.php#photo-7871804 You are right, they are all gone... I wonder what the argument with Sheriff was, who gets the meat?
  12. I heard only 3 are dead.... what's the local station you watching?
  13. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/04/24/police-chasing-small-herd-buffalo-on-loose-near-new-york-state-thruway/?intcmp=latestnews Hmm, what's for dinner Honey? I have some ideas....lol
  14. Welcome, have fun.....
  15. It depends where you hunt. I get there way early and set it up... have a nap and be awake at first light... :-) I wouldn't trust to leave my stuff on public land.. just saying...
  16. Sorry for your loss, she is in the better place now....
  17. Why you going there in the afternoon, do you realize that spring turkey hunting days during May in NY end at noon?
  18. They will have several roosting spots, but keep this one in mind, come back in the morning before light and try slow calls, don't overcall it.... and keep scouting, you are doing OK...
  19. Congrats, good choice with St. John's. Back in the day I was torn between St. John's and NYU I chose the latter, City campus has some nice benefits :-)

    FLIR

http://shop.flir.com/dp/B00K0PXFB6 Did anyone try this for hunting? If so how was it? I get the thermals are the new thing and it make sense but on the phone? With the iPhone screen alone I would probably make more light than anything that I'm trying to see in the darkness. Scoped Flir I would like but they are soo darn expensive... What do you think?
  21. To get the heck out of the office and see NO people :-) Other than that just like many people said, nothing better to see day wake up, fresh air and nature...
  22. Mossberg 500..... nuff said...
  23. Happy Easter, people.... whether you celebrate it or not... just want to reflect on what we have, and we sure appreciate it all..... Have a good time with your family, that's all it matters.... Have fun and post some pictures....
