There is about 700,000 hunters in NY, assume they all voted for Astorino. In NYC one borough of Brooklyn has 2.6 million people, assume only half of them voted for Cuomo.... there you have it gents, its NYC problem and numbers game, I think we will get BOHICA once more..... -
Public land on opening day for gun? Think this over and wait a week or so then go during weekday, Orange Army will be in full effect, unless you like "Call of Duty" shooting style :-)

We are not "allowed" to bait or feed deer because of CWD and not to create over capacity situation, nature takes care of itself this way and with some help of the state laws.... At least that's the official version.....

You have Wassaic State land and West Mountain near by but you are right, the farms out there are the real treat, work that if you can.....

I have to admit though that it is a pain to carry for a long walks, on the stand I just lay it down on the railings like I do with the gun. The only negative I can think of is its weight, and no I didn't get anything with it yet, still waiting for that chance.

Trees, buck/doe moving..... no clear line of sight/shooting lanes... you name it... I'm just saying.... x-bow hold no stress to that.... don't get me wrong I love compound but x-bow makes it easy, just wait and shoot....
