    This has to come down to familial responsibility. If they know family members are nutso, they need to take responsibility for access to firearms. This guy had ready access to untold amounts of guns by all accounts. Of course, you will never be able to legislate for apathy or irresponsibility. This is why open carry is the only sane response to random acts.

    I could see my breath till about 9am this morning. Deer were movin. Saw some doe n fawns as well. Also watched the smallest chipmunk ever steal a nut that a squirrel had just buried. Ha ha.

    That's my fourth Buck passed up. A 2 year old with long spikes cruised by at 7am and hung about eating acorns for a while. Not the deer I'm looking for right now. Haven't had this many Bucks under my stand ever in one season. Definitely setting a new personal best this year. Surely it's only a matter of time before a big 10 walks by !? No evening sit for me with the warm weather. I will be trying a new spot on Saturday morning though. Stand has been set all summer but not hunted yet.

    45 degrees. Headin out. Maybe somethin will be on the hoof. Almost went back to bed until I felt the cool air on my face.Going to be a warm series of days ahead. No evening sits worth doing.

    I'm in a Buck zone and have passed 3 of 'em already. One was a half decent 8 I may or may not regret later. But right now there are 2/3 very large deer wandering about and it's too early not to give 'em a chance to pass under my stand. Caught one on cam just yesterday. It's been a bumper Buck year for us in our woods. I think I have nailed my stand placement after several years of experimentation also. Just need a nice series of frosty mornings to get some deer action going. This Indian summer blows.

    Figure is definitely transparent in places. I saw no strange digital artifacting in photo-shop to indicate a fake. If it is fake, It's very well done. Better than Obama's birth cert.

    I have now watched all the Fear shows. I think it is better than the original. The writing is better and the scope for interesting scenarios is there. The dead are usually the least interesting aspect of these shows.

    It's amazing how much brighter a field edge is then inside the woods. Feels about 35% brighter in fact.

    So I just checked my camera after yesterdays epic morning sit. About an hour after I left the stand, 3 Bucks turned up at the Oak tree. 2 are 1.5 but I got an older 2 or 3 year old animal with 2 points. Decent length and mass but only two horns. He has been around for a couple of years at least given previous camera captures. Definitely a deer I would harvest if given the opportunity. Good size body.
