    I'd find some nice fresh dog dirt and cover their gear if this happened to me. Marine grease also works well in these situations.

    Amazing. Being pretty much an entirely woods based hunter, I never get these groupings.

    Guinness tastes different too depending where you are at. The best I ever had was in the Dublin mountains, at a golf club for police officers. Never had its like before or after. This was many years ago, but I can still remember the after taste. Glorious

    My plan is to retire to Wicklow some day. Gorgeous part of the world. The Irish know how to do a good Pub too. You just don't get the same vibe here in the US.

    Awesome. Hunting Deer in Ireland is a dream of mine. I was there this summer. Lived there for a long time. might be arranging a hunt for 2016 with my cousin-in-law in Wicklow. Killed my first rabbit in Ireland!

    Precisely, the good book tells us to be good stewards of creation. It also tells not be presumptuous and test the Lord, which also appears to be promoted by Wolc. Both of which are anti-Biblical propositions ironically.

    I know, but it's dumb and I just don't care that much for stoopid rules. Seems to be some kind of weird conditioning exercise more than anything practical.

    I don't wear my tags on my own private property. It's unlikely I'll forget who I am and need to take my jacket off to take a look. I keep it in a breast pocket mostly. As Philo says, I don't feel the need to poke holes in my hunting gear.

    It's called the natural law. The universal sense that all men and all peoples understand that some actions are wrong and socially destructive. The Philosophy related to Natural law, is in fact the basis for western jurisprudence. Certainly our natural instincts can be suppressed or hardened toward evil however. Modern education has a role in forming the new 'moral' order.

    Knowing right from wrong is innate. The liberal education system has deliberately set out to muddy the waters, teach wrong as right and generally confuse and discombobulate folk. Political correctness also seeks to make sure people are perpetually outraged and angry about something or other.

    Civil society is unraveling, men are pretending to be women, whites pretending to be black, Christians are forced to bake cakes for 'gays', and it appears somebody in authority wants a race war.     What happened to that Greek fighting spirit against tyranny? I don't care if the incident occurred an inch from the border. American citizens who are not actually crossing do not need to be stopped and harassed in this manner. It is a worrying trend.

    One thing I notice about a lot of the expert articles out there is their obsession with early morning and late evening hunts. This is not something I experience most years in my patch. My best action has been mid to late afternoon, consistently year in and out.

    Yep, last year I discovered one such love nest after a couple of rut encounters going back a couple of seasons. I have a stand right in it this year to try and take advantage.
