Beautiful opening morning in 9H. Saw 2 foxes under my stand. That is a first. Sunrise was glorious. Just after legal light a well built Buck walked out of the corner I was anticipating some action from. However, he hugged the property line, went up further and then entered the property about 30 yards too far away. I did not get a good look at the head gear due to leaves etc but he looked a good'un based on body size. I may move a stand this afternoon to get in on that side of the morning action. I was covered in Doe n Fawns after that for a while. I think the Buck may have been chasing the Doe about a little ways above me. Turns out wife was traipsing about the woods looking for me latter half of the morning.. My phone was on silent and I was not answering. She figured I had fallen to my doom, bless her socks. Probably ruined the hunt however . I will probably hit up the same stand this evening.

Then there are the videos of orphan doe raised by people who return to introduce their fawns and hang out for years afterward

As Morgan Freeman said, if you want to fix racism, stop talking about it. Half the posters on my bedroom wall growing up where Black folk. I know for a fact the next generation are fed with being told how racist they are and are now becoming racist as a result. -
The glue was melting in my arrow inserts today

In many spots in my woods the cams are covering effective ranges of only 15 yards or so. This year I did not go crazy on cam usage. I feel I know the best spots now and am more comfortable just seeing what turns up. More often than not it is a brand new deer anyway.

Its taken 6/7 seasons to hone in on 2/3 of the best spots in my 40 acre plot. And when I say spots, I am talking about 25 yards or less of kill zone for each one in terms of where i now place my stands.

Yeah, I got close to getting the local Big Boy once on 40 acres. Took 4/5 cams and 3 seasons. He busted me, in the dark at 30 yards. At a certain point Deer develop heat vision I believe

So, I just charged up my portable Boneview ozone generator and bought a larger tote for my hunting gear. Gonna throw in a pair of sweaty work gloves and give the thing a test run. I'll let you know how it goes

Yep, my sis in law has bankrupted herself getting her Audi repaired. Seems like it is never not in the shop

Watch for that oil burning 'feature'. There was a class action lawsuit related to this problem. Subaru described this issue as a 'feature' of their Boxer engine. I owned a 2009 Outback and fell foul of this myself. Buyer beware

That's swell n all, but you forgot to provide exact GPS locations for us.

I was doing the earth wafer thing in a plastic tote. I found it very strong and slightly unnatural. I just bought a small ozone maker and am planning on using it to make my gear scent free this season by placing it in my plastic tote. A poor mans scent-crusher set up basically. I am also not using deer scents this season at all. Trying to go o-naturale this year

I have had a deer like that. He will be 7 if he is still around. Never got daytime pics. Did have a couple of encounters after legal light tho in the woods

Course you can. History is a record of past events. You destroy those records, the only memory or accounts we have, and you erase history from the cultural memory. -

NY Potential ban on urine based scents
The_Field_Ager replied to anthony.costa82's topic in General Hunting
I had already determined not to bother with scent this season. I am relying on scouting, terrain and knowledge of Doe hangout spots this year. I don't want mature Bucks distracted/spooked by anything. Hoping the big 7 year old is still around -
