  1. Have not hunted in Moz yet..... 3 times in SA, 3x in Namibia, 2x in Zim. Right now I'm not sure if I want to dump all funds into a Leopard hunt or spread that out into just more hunting. But I think after next election cycle here, cats are done for import so its becoming a now or never type thing in the next few years. Almost did a Hippo/Croc hunt in Moz last year, but did an end of season Buff/Tuskless in Zim.
  2. Wow, African Wildcat; don't see that very often. "Once Africa is in your blood it calls everyday ." Hunting trip 3 out of the last 4 years.....call me addicted.
  3. Yaa, I need to shoot another Kudu bull too! Hope you get more rain; post up some more trophy pics from season as you go.
  4. Two terrific bulls..... Now I want to shoot another. How is rain up your way? Friend in Sabi Sands and they are way behind.
  5. March 1-4 this year; http://www.sportshows.com/suffern/
  6. Anyone going? Anyone have a decent place to eat in the area, suggestions? I've only been there a couple times over the years, might talk to a fishing outfitter on Saturday.
  7. I seen all kinds of Rube Goldberg repairs in 30 years of renovations..... Good one was a drain put together with sections of radiator hoses, about 20' worth.
  8. I'm always hunting with bottom feeders when I book trips; guess I'm going to have to watch someone else jump in on the bidding with cash.
  9. Dangerous game hunt in Africa? Porsche? Ferrari? Help me out here I need to get rid of some stuff.
  10. For around $200 delivered you can buy a complete axle new everything and just cut the U-bolts holding it to springs. Grease proper and put the tires on. No messing with what is all rusted and buggered. Hacksaw and a wrench, you already need to buy a grease gun. eTrailer is a good source and I buy and rebuild trailers a few times a year. For example; https://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Trailer_Axles-gw-2200_lbs.aspx Grease is your friend and so is a yearly check up.
  11. You do understand that the neighboring states through New England(Vermont,NH,Maine) that have a more substantial Moose population have drastically cut their tag numbers over the last few years due to population concerns? (Tick issues with warm weather are killing young recruitment) And the same mechanism you need to pass a law to get DEC to determine a Moose hunt and administer it, is the same as for the "tiny birds" you don't seem to think is important. Way to make friends.
  12. Both of us showing our age now, I remember those ads....

  14. ^^^ Creepy old dude who smells like Old Spice
  15. Sad news, hope they get back and running.
  16. Well we can wait for her ride at Indy for one last chance.......
  17. Well looks like Stenhouse is keeping up with crashing the field like in the Duel race. He did make a hell of a save for his car though......
  18. Lots of young drivers in top equipment with all the retirements. Waiting for the "big one"......
  19. Its cheap and easy to get an antlered tag, hunt just about anywhere with it, and for ridiculous long amounts of time. Guess that counts for something.
  20. Spent sometime most everyday learning offhand shooting last summer, couple bricks 22 on 2" steel targets and centerfire on clays or paper. Never much on it skill wise but needed practice for a hunting trip.( practice paid off too!) Now its a favorite to shoot; mostly 22LR/270win/375hh
  21. Enjoying all the pics you have posted; every year it seems I put trying ice fishing on a list of things to but never seem to get there. Well done.
