  7. Anyone build your own Custom rifle off of the Savage action?I have a model 11 short action .243 and I am thinking about ordering a 6.5 X 284 barrel and Bell & Carleson stock for a new project. Looking around for ideas. I have looked at Criterion and Shilen barrels which are around $350.00 for stainless.

  15. My 11-87 fully rifled loves the lightfields, the barrel is a 1:34 twist so the slower heavier bullets group better then the faster Sabots. I to use to shoot the hornady and had success. I like the lightfields heavier 546 grains and tack driving accuracy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. love my lead sled for initial sighting in! always shoot a couple out of it though as well but it makes a world of difference on the shoulder.
