I haven’t loaded any of pics yet but i am very impressed with these cams. I set the cams with different settings to gage them. I see one for 5 second intervals and 3 pic burst, do not do this I had over 10000 pics of the wind blowing, lol. I went to Walmart and bought 3 more and put them out this morning. Worth every penny so far.

He thinks he’s a bad ass, now does he? Wait about another month and then he will see how bad he is. He will be getting his ass kicked several times a day from the big boys. But in all seriousness glad your ok.

They have a tow hitch on 2 of the models.

Anyone ever seen or have experience with these? They look pretty badass. I may have to look into them. They look like a lot of fun and useful. https://www.dtvmotorcorp.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3K6Q55DK5AIVxpCHCh2uZgQyEAEYASAAEgKAWPD_BwE

I’m impressed someone still has a back strap left being so close to the new season!
-
I seen them for the first time in buffalo in May. Only reason I went tickets were $15 and I never seen them before. I’m not into their music in the most part . They are no Rolling Stones in my opinion . But I hope you enjoyed they show.

They are back in buffalo

New York states only team walked out of jersey with a narrow victory. Don’t worry jersey we will be back next Sunday to service your other team!

I’m surprised at how big that piebald is. So many hunters shoot them when they are young because their fur is different and cool looking. Nice too see a bigger piebald!

What’s the rules on hunting with crossbows?
-
It’s whatever you can afford. I went cheap and my buddies warned me that I’m going to have problems. So I went Barnett and after 100 or so shots bearings went so I traded up to a wicked ridge because it looked cool..lol.. very heavy and the cable wore out quick. So I went to Excalibur’s matrix 310 couldn’t be happier. It’s a recurve so if the string goes in the field I carry an extra and I’m back in business within 5 minutes. But it’s all preference.

Save your money and buy an Excalibur. From experience those cam bows break down too quick!

I just bought 4 of them. Had too because of the price. Decent reviews on them also. I’m going to let them soak for a couple weeks and see if I scored big.
-
I bought 4 at Walmart yesterday. Only 28.99 a piece. Anyone ever use these? I figured for that price why not give them a try. Im probably going to let these soak for a couple weeks then check. I’ll post results if they work.

I just Mapquest it it’s about an hour. We camp at catamount in burns just northest of Vail. You will be fine in elevation. I would grab a blm topography map if you can. It’ll give you the lines for public and management lands so you don’t wonder on private land. On public access land there are markers on the ground that will give you the area layouts . Follow them so you don’t wonder on private land . I’m also going to shoot you a cell number . Just in case you need anything up there as a emergency or anything. It’s always good to have a local contact.

I will be going out. Frontier airlines had round trip direct flights for $222 I couldn’t pass up. I was iffy this year because of the whole you have to buy a small game tag to get any tag. Elk during 2nd season tend to be in heards with cows and the big boys being loners or running with other bulls. Breeding season is passed so you won’t hear any bugling going on. I have had luck calling in cows with my cow call in late season. So if you plan on bugling you probably won’t get any response. Spot and stalk is the game. How old are you? I really have no problem with the elevation. I’m 37 and have gone 7 times and never had any issue. You will be tired ass hell at night because you will put some miles on the boots. It tends to be kind of cold low 30’s in the mornings. But don't over dress no humidity up there it makes it feel a lot warmer. Don’t be surprised to see mid 70’s during the day! if your driving and see what you are after remember it’s 50’ from the center of the road not 50’ from the side of the road. Trust me it makes a difference in time. 2 years ago one guy from camp took a beautiful 6x6 as 2 bulls were trotting across the road. As we were heading in for lunch. I missed the other bull. Lol

What area is vail? I hunt 25/25 and 34 outside of vail during 2nd season. How did you get a bear tag? I thought they were all private land this year? Anyway what deer tag buck or doe? Muley aren’t The smartest of animals one mite say dumb. They are not as alert as a whitetail. We usually clean up on deer no tag goes unfilled in camp. Elk are tough to zero in on. My advice is definitely get up like you are a couple days early and find them. They usually don’t travel far off everyday. Get up and start your walk in early to try and cut them off going to bed down. That’s your best bet. Pay close attention to the winds it’s not like here they change in seconds so be aware. Last bit of advice is make sure it’s a elk before you shoot . Moose are very prevalent in the area and you will be in big trouble if you mistakenly shoot one. Good luck . Oh yeah get some visine it’s super dry up there and your eyes will dry out and drive you nuts.
