  1. Stoneam206 you are wrong, the barrel does not have to go through a FFL Dealer, the only thing that has to go through a FFL is the stripped lowers as that has the serial numbers on it. I can order every part online Upper, Barrel, Trigger, bolt, stocks, and any thing else and have it delivered to my door except the stripped lower. I can order a 80 percent lower and have the shipped to my door.
  2. I know several dealers near me that have stripped lowers instock. Where are you located?. I have also found stripped lowers blemishes for around $60 each if you take lots of 5
  3. You can buy a stripped lower and have it shipped to a FFL Dealer in NY. A stripped lower in not considered a assault weapon until you ad one of those evil feature. You will have the pay the FFL Dealer a transfer fee. I have had several sent to with no problems since the Safe Act was passed.
  4. http://www.ammoland.com/2014/02/connecticut-closer-to-confiscation-of-guns-magazines/#axzz2uMzu975h
  5. From what I have read about the letters, the letters where sent out to people who tried to register their guns the CT made illegal, but where past the deadline. So CT has your signed letter saying you own a gun that your tried to register. Seems like that is how they got the information. Also not sure if many of you have followed the NY registration but there was someone that did and posted pictures of forms, and his confirmation that the NYSP received it, it also states IF YOU ARE APPROVED they will let you know, so just because you give NYS your information does not mean they will approve you, so what do you think will happen when they say you are not approved, we have a list of these guns you tried to register and you need to turn them in.
  6. The SAFE Act has to go. It creates a Special Class of citizens by exempting Retired LEO and Correction Officers (how many CEO can carry at work, not very many of them) to own the guns that are banned to the average citizen. So much for all men created equal. How can 7 bullets be unconstitutional and 10 bullets is ?
  7. Doc, the Ammo background check is not voided, it is just delayed. Not many ammo dealers will even ship to NY, plus I don't believe many FFL Dealers in NY area even accepting ammo shipments. Why would they as they sell ammo.
  8. Philoshop, was your friend one of those that said the NY Safe Act won't effect him? Seems like all the people that said that does not effect me, are now just learning it does. Also the background check system has been put on hold, pretty sure Cuomo is delaying it till after the elections.
  9. DBHunterNY, I believe you are incorrect about reselling ammo, the NY Safe Act is for commercial sales of AMMO.
  10. I noticed the shooter was to the left of the camera more.I wonder if the kid ws just shaking maybe elk fever and jerked the shot alittle as it appears he had a nice broadside shot.
  11. I was always a big Honda when I owned 3 wheelers.Until I got that Polaris Sportsman. Maybe getting older just being able to push the lever foward to go and not worry about shifting is great. I love it for plowing, no shifting down to netural like a stanrd shift, then push, pull, a button or lever to get into reverse.I tend to carry alot of things with me when I use my 4 wheeler, chainsaw, gas, oil, ax, tree stands, trail cams.I did not really think that O would like a belt driven 4 wheeler until I had one and really started to use it.
  12. Ok, the Honda Foremans have Electric Shift on the Handle Bars, which sounds great until you ride one, and you are trying to carry something on your lap. As the shifter is on the left handle bar, and throttle on the right, makes it hard to shift, work throttle and hold on to a item. I would really look for a 500. Used http://fingerlakes.craigslist.org/sno/4351785548.html http://rochester.craigslist.org/sno/4362316685.html Brand New in Auburn for $5000 http://syracuse.craigslist.org/snd/4279653103.html
  13. He still has charges from 2005 for possessing Eagle Parts that the case is still pending that release said at the very bottom.
  14. I have a Suzuki 500 4x4, Kawasaki Bayou 300 4x4, and a Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4. I really love the Sportsman because it is a automatic tranny and its great for plowing slow, no shifting. But my Suzuki will push alot more snow . My friend has a Arctic Cat 700 which is nice, but is so wide he has a hard time going through the woods on my trails.
  15. I have been lucky and picked up 22lr bullets off and on over the last 6 months. My last pickup was a bucket of 1400 Remington s for $80 Bucks at Dicks a few weeks ago. I probley picked up 5000-6000 rounds in the last 6 months. My daughter can shoot through a brick in a few hours when the weather breaks.
  16. Biz-R-OWorld, If you did not claim that you may want to delete that post. Do you know that the IRS payment is 28 percent on capital gains tax on gold and silver sales if you make money .
  17. So what cel service to you go through for this camera, and whats the cost per month?
  18. I have a glock 26 9mm that I carry most of the time. It's alittle big but no too bad.Glock just came out with a Glock 42 that .380 and smaller. That might be my next purchase.
  19. Ah crap, you are right. This was the guy that got caught on school grounds with a pistol My bad
  20. Here is article on the waiver. http://dailycaller.com/2014/02/13/cuomo-aide-caught-breaking-gun-law-quickly-receives-waiver/
  21. The Great One Cuomo gave this guy a waiver 4 days after the story came out in the Newspaper. Amazing if that was a regular average joe that did this we would have been charged.
  22. Thats funny you talk about Eustace, I just read a article where he was arrested for Trespassing and that he uses a backhoe and tractors all the time, and not his horses.
  23. Also State Parks are off limits too. I though Bars where a no go, but if it was a restaurant with a separate serving area that is was fine like a Chili's.
  24. Chemung only issues concealed now, I believe that changed last year. Also concealed does not mean you can carry every where in NY. You can not carry in a Post Office, State or Federal building and schools. I also believe there is something about bars and concealed carry ( I can't remember where I seen this at). I have my CCW in Schuyler County, they only issue CCW and premise. Also Schuyler county supplies a coupon so I can go and buy a pistol anytime I want and then add it to my permit with in 10 days.
