    A long process but worth it. Pork shoulder smoked , oven and crockpot BBQ pulled pork ( sweet baby rays ) and some slaw I whipped up.

    Today's selection. English style Barleywine throwing 14.6% abv. Malty , sweet and little lacing. The way a Barleywine should be. This was a Boston , MA souvenir I schlepped back to hotel

    Don't own any big rifles so 22lr , 12 gauge and 50 cal muzzle stuffer for me. I think I could do ok with these. If rifles only: guess I'm stuck with 3 .22's lol.

    Actially first time using this particular one but have been using Dizzy Pig rub which is high in coffee as well. We like the coffee based rubs.

    Can't tend the smoker without a good beer. It's a rule you know

    Pork butt. Little mustard coating so coffee dry rub will stick. Almonds sautéed in butter and dry rub. Smoker is stage 1 of BBQ pulled pork.

    My dad used to hunt and kill a lot of grouse with the .410. My brothers shot 20's. I wasn't old enough to hunt when I tagged along with them but NO way I could recover from when they flush to get the gun up lol

    I'll admit I'm a beer snob . Don't have a favorite style but enjoy IPA's, stouts, barleywines, Belgian, barrel aged stouts ,sours, etc. Only Guinness I've had in a bazillion years was this past St Patricks Day with a Rueben . Not my favorite as adjuct lagers as Bud, Genny, Stella, not my go to's either.
