  1. Chiefs catch when they scored first TD soon after was NOT a catch. Rex didn't even challenge it !!! Nice sack on the 2 point conversion try .
  2. It's very deceiving for sure. I look at myself, 5-10" and weigh 205. And yes, about 20 pounds of craft beer fat too much. But comparing myself size wise to a big deer you'd think the deer would weigh 250 all day long as per square inches they cover a lot more surface area. And I swear the longer I drag them, the heavier they get
  3. sounds like a solid day . Saw some deer, some great eats, cold beer and a coyote sighting. Try and bark at him. They generally stop giving you a whack at him. Even on a slow trot they'll stop. Running, generally not so much.
  4. That's what I mean. Red's are quite tame and mild compared to greys you snarl, bark and lash out. I've caught some nasty coon and some very timid ones.
  5. There's a whole section in listing of topics on food plots if that helps.
  6. It's crazy how much different greys are than reds. Like his feistiness
  7. so how are they going to leave us hanging until next part of season ?! Tonight should be good though. I looked....no zombie emoticon lol
  8. It was pointing south until somehow pic got rotated (as usual) Not far off on your guess though.
  9. I know what it is but curious to what you may think. No, it's not a tooth of any sort and quarter is not acceptable answer.
  10. Very cool. Send him out for tanning ? The do it yourself kits don't compare to professional tan jobs. He'd look beautiful on the wall. I suggest Moyles. Great work but takes a while
  11. dang ! Can't get near bedding ground in case he gets up to stretch and meander a bit ? Or close enough a hot doe will entice him out of cover ? I want to see one of you post him up on the Harvest thread. He's a dandy !!
  12. Even when it looks ok it's generally pretty useless with holes you don't see until skinning.
  13. This year, yup all for the love of it. Years past the $ perk was nice too. As soon as I put another deer or two in the freezer I'll set some muskrat traps and try to catch a fox/coyote or two. Canines will get sent to Moyles to get tanned. Neat wall hangars. I've given quite a few away.
  14. Buddy has been canine trapping pretty hard this year. 6 ferals already. All released of course
  15. Prices are ridiculously low this year. I believe it has something to due with trade embargo with Russia. I myself have yet to set any steel but also have been hunting hard. Coons/mink and muskrat are next to nothing. Like 0-$5 skinned and stretched. A good fox may bring $10 if your lucky $20 on a good colored coyote. 2 years ago I was averaging $10-11 per muskrat.
  16. gotcha. Glad he's still out there , that's awesome ! Was weighing in missing great hour of hunting vs wheeler and drag. Good luck to you both. Gorgeous morning to be out
  17. With a forum name of nodeerhere what did you expect ?!?
  18. But at any given moment a hot doe could bring him out of hiding. Hoping for you that's his final mistake.
  19. Assuming you're only after a buck ? I'd hit Spot B You're seeing a bunch of does. Where there's doe there's bound to be a buck around. And you're seeing rubs. No brainer: Spot B P.S I'm not responsible if you don't see anything
