    Rule # 3 of hunting is never lean your gun up against anything as it may fall. Rule #1 being treat every firearm as it was loaded Rule #2 know your target and what's beyond I'm guessing unless violent jolt directly to scope it'll be just fine. Put on paper when you get a chance though Don't like to assume

    Can use rifle where I hunt but opt for smoke pole instead.

    4 point came in close to us. Looked like one of the twins from yesterday but perhaps not. Per pic : apparently were hunting a very steep side of hill. Doh

    Dang warm climbing up mountain. Daughter and I ready for a doe. Neither gut piles touched , surprising Be safe everyone , shoot straight and happy thanksgiving to all.

    Taking 13 yr old daughter along and we'll sit in our ground blind. Mama says we can hunt til noon. Then off to her parents. Sore subject as I hit a big buck 2 years ago at 11:15 and tracked it for 4.5 hours and miles thru deep snow. Missed dinner . Wife was not happy

    thank you. Fun day I must admit. Shockwave 250 grains with 100 grains of 777. Lunged her and buck. Buck is back and now going to go back for doe. No easy drag , that's for sure. Minus a bunch of sweaty layers outta make it easier .... I hope

    They've been moving all day today. Sunrise to now I've heard shooting. Fun about to start. One mile drag thru brambles , creek and swamp. Positive note is my back is already out so don't have to worry about that. And cold beer at the car. Bonus !

    Been all day. There goes another one. Guessing 30-40 rumbling thru hills Mostly singles so guys not driving. Occasional follow up shot. Two more since I started typing.

    So much for full moon effecting deer. Best day of activity I'm had in 4 days. Quite a few shots ringing thru hills too.

    folks bought me one last year that has hand warmer pocket in it. It's pretty slick. Haven't even put gloves on yet today. Buck dressed out and below stand , drinking coffee and hoping for a doe. Absolutely stellar day out. Cold but sunny and no wind

    Thanks pop. No sooner did I put tag away and a hot doe came in behind me. This six right on her tail. Wanted her but she got nervous and scooted. Not a great rack but nice sized buck. Muzzleloader at 25 yards. He went 10 Going to field dress him and hunt does. Lots of shooting going on and splendid day.

    Glad you post this. Won one in s raffle last year. Never used it but it's in the trunk of my car. Only thing is transportation of it into woods. Should have come with a drawstring bag or such. Won't fit in my backpack. Maybe cut out a nice hole thru the top and it's a portable potty : )

    So I'm trying to lure deer in using mental telepathy. Concentrating real hard so one will appear. FYI. It didn't work with Heidi Klum , heart shaped jacuzzi in Niagara Falls either. Meh , All I got was Oprah in a kiddie pool.
