  1. Here's mine from a few years ago. Even got the teeth in
  2. Yup. Fox the first time around
  3. Oops. Thought I saw state land in harvest thread. My bad . Great deer regardless of where you got him.
  4. Nice buck Law. And a state land one late in the season to boot. You're having a great season, well done
  5. Giving up already ? There's still a decent amount of hunting left. Franks hot sauce does nothing to make tags taste any better FYI
  6. The bright side is you put her out of her misery. That's a shame but she won't suffer any longer. Assuming gun shot wound ?
  7. Why does the game warden do nothing ? Have you called ? I'm sure there's more than one officer in your area. Call him. That crap is BS !!!
  8. Interesting first post. Do you hunt ? What part of NY are you from ?
  9. anywhere to put in a pocket set for mr. mink ? you have perfect bait now
  10. Sleeping in and warmth in the stand are overrated . The woods, whether it be deer hunting or spring bird hunting is my happy place. As long as I have a tag or two I'll be out there to the bitter end. It's not all about the harvest and taking something home. That's important but just being there is more important. The mysterious sounds you get to hear, the animals and birds you encounter, I learn something each and every time I'm out there broadening my knowledge.
  11. at least something will hit your rooftop today.......the tree.
  12. You plan on going turkey hunting with a bow ? Nice ! That's the ultimate in getting a bird IMO. Getting a full draw with a bunch of sets of eyes all around you. Someday I'll buy a bow and try and accomplish this feat. My buddy has shotgun slam of turkeys (.410/28/20/16/12/10 gauge ) and real slam of all species. He then only hunted birds with his bow, and filmed everything himself. Now that takes talent. Not taking anything away from deer bowhunters who shoot a bird from their treestand but ground blind and a strutting spring bird entirely different situation. Good luck Mike in your hunting future .
  13. How about a used Remington 1100 ? Check your local gun shops or Gunbroker.com perhaps Sorry about the underscore, If I'm not posting pics sideways it's always something. Mossberg 500 or it maybe the 835 may be what your looking for too.
  14. I think that's a "roar" more than a "bark" Good luck with the hand cannon today !
  15. Great deer with a classic gun. Nice shooting Tex !! Someday I'll do some range work with my Pop's 30-40 and get it out there. P.S You do realize of course bacon comes from pigs
  16. I'll keep this beer thread going ...
  17. Dang Red. Rough day. Good thing that dude came out. Bright side is you're in EA tomorrow and can grab lunch at The Bar Bill, roast beef n wings ! And Aurora Brewworks has some great beers for later
