  1. Daughter and I. Hoping we see something http://i.imgur.com/MNcryUl.jpg Pic upside down ugh
  2. 6:45 was first shot. Heard 2 5 shot vollies as well. Dang quiet in 9H for daughter and I. Warm walk up the mountain
  3. 11 PM and can't sleep due to excitement lol. Just cracked a Firestone Walker Parabola 25 ounce bottle of Russian Imperial stout at 14% abv. Hopefully that'll help and eliminate some of the back spasms I starting getting today. Feels like I'm getting randomly tazed. 4 o'clock will come early. Be careful driving to your location in the morning. I always have to stand on the brakes for deer on my way , not fun. Shoot straight , enjoy the day and be safe
  4. My apologies Jennifer. I started this thread in all seriousness. A certain somebody tends to get childish with his posts and I retorted to one. And yes , everyone should not take ticks lightly.
  5. Tim Hortons is the crack of all coffee. I'll hit one of the many within a few miles of home on the way out in the a.m
  6. Canadian ballet and Tim Hortons 'eh
  7. That reminds me ,how many guys are going to "scope" themselves tomorrow ?
  8. Nice !! That boy has some high rise horns on him. Good luck
  9. So clothes washed. Car mostly packed. Rolling out tomorrow morning at about 5 am . 13 year old daughter going with until 10:30 or so. Then we get to walk right thru the middle of the woods to drop her off at road and mama will pick her up so she can go to ballet. I'd rather not spook the woods walking out but her being there will be her first real deer hunting experience. Hope we see some early. Her being there the best part. Just hope she's warm enough . Going to wear her snowpants and snow jacket and winter boots. I'll carry an extra layer of mine in for her as well and a orange vest and hat. Backpack is loaded with handwarmers and toting a sleeping bag out for her to crawl in. We'll be sitting in our new ground blind. Turkey strut chair to keep her fanny off the ground and I'll be sitting on my backpack. I'm going to look like a packmule carrying all that gear into the woods. Hope to post up a pic or two tomorrow early. I'll hunt the rest of the day solo, Sunday solo, Tuesday and Wednesday solo and she plans on going with again on Thanksgiving again. Muzzleloader going tomorrow for sure. Extractor claw on 870 not fixed yet. Love the optics on the ml and just the way it feels. It'll be nice to have an extra set of eyes so when 'poof" of smoke emerges hopefully someone can see what the heck happened, lol.
  10. I have a package of powdered water.. What do I add to it ?
  11. It's the same people Christmas shopping the night before. It's not like they didn't know when Christmas was or Opening day
  12. Absolutely. Loaded weapon too. Just don't pull trigger til legal shooting time.
  13. Black label and green label and I think Jack Daniels : ). And not even a whiskey guy Good to know. Wasn't aware of green label 777 pellets. Thanks for heads up
  14. Color me stupid but how 90? Isn't all 777 50 grain pellets ?
  15. Shooting 100 grains of 777 here in my Winchester Apex magnum. I know some folk are more keen on loose powder but I've had no problems. Was shooting 150 grains but found no difference of accuracy down grading to 100 grains. Don't think I'm getting full burn on 150 anyhow ML going with opening day of gun season. ML just stuffed and ready to go
  16. i consider it about even keel of legal shooting times. Sometimes even the easiest of things baffle the crap out of me
  17. Sometimes I seriously wonder if those really early shots are dumbasses traveling with loaded gun, removing gun from front seat and touching off accidental discharge fn ing up their dash. I hear shots when it's still completely dark out.
  18. Way to go !! Our Maizy ( golden retriever) not bright enough to train. She trains us is more like it.
