The problem with polls are you can make then give what ever stats you want. CNN runs a pole - “do you support laws that will stop children stop being killed in schools”? No one in their right mind will say no but if you change a couple words in that question you will get a drastically different outcome - “do you support stricter gun laws that could prevent school shootings” everyone with a brain will answer no because we know laws won’t stop anything. Meat or Antlers it’s easy for someone to say meat. However put a scenario and run a poll and I bet the difference will be drastically different If a roughly 100lb buck “actual weight not based off pa girth chart” and a 150lb doe are in your shooting lane and the buck has a 150” rack what one do you shoot. The old zig when I should have zagged happened this morning. The long beards I have been chasing all week have done the same thing everyday roost in the corner of my property fly down and head onto neighbors where I can’t hunt. 3 days in a row I got busted trying to draw on them but I don’t have any good cover to set up in. This morning my plan was to set in the corner and try to bust the flock up and push them back on my property. Hens came through the hedge row I scared them they all took of running. I got up and ran around them thinking they would go back to where they came from. I get tucked in and 2 minutes later here then gobbling where I started my morning. Oh yea, If you’ve never had a shower beer you’re missing out, problem is if I have a shower beer after a night shift I’m up to pee by 10 so I fill my was yeti now my Rtic cup with ice and half vodka half lemonade or cranberry and get in a hot shower with it, your first one will be life changing! My best tactic that I can share so far this year is carry a friggin shotgun! I’d be tagged out and back to fishing if I wasn’t so damn bull headed and would put this bow away! My best advice that I have learned over the years is be aggressive. Don’t ever be afraid to go after them! Yes you will bump some and frig up some hunts but you will kill more birds by being aggressive and it doesn’t leave anything to you to dwell on after the fact. I’m confused as to why Wolc’s so confused. I agree with you moog. If deer didn’t have antlers I’d probably hunt once a year kill a deer for my uncle and be done. Last year I hunted 81 sits if it wasn’t for antlers I would have hunted 80 less times. If you couldn’t eat deer but they had antlers I would have hunted 81 times. Honestly if deer weren’t edible I would probably hunt harder I know many times while hunting the ADK’s I have left a track or given up on a deer knowing I wouldn’t be able to get them out if I did kill them. I don’t blame it on magazines or social media. Cave drawings very rarely show spike horns. I think since humans started walking on 2 feet and eating meat that men have wanted to kill the biggest deer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s like everything else these days. Guys need 200hp snowmobile’s to ride trails, 400hp trucks to pull boats, magnums to kill deer, the fact is we all got by just fine 20yrs ago. I go out of my way to get as open a pattern as possible. I have never wounded or missed a turkey that was too far but I sure have missed them when they were Too close! Killing legal turkeys and deer are pretty easy for me, if my goal was to kill 2 spring birds and my 3 deer I could do it in under 6 days 9 out of 10 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
