  1. All of them, but I'll add single shots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The stock is the same, I used an aftermarket hogue so it needed a little sanding to fit perfect. The forend is another story, there is a company called lumley that makes an adapter to make a 12ga 870 forend work. I didn't go this route because I wanted a better fit around the barrel so I got the 20 ga and did a fair amount of sanding and made a adapter similar to what lumley makes only smaller and they use metal and I used a pvc material "to keep weight down and for easier milling." After I got the forend to fit I used a spacer on the bottom tube and the adapter fills the hole on the end of the tube because an 870 tube is longer. It took a long time, way longer than I thought it would. In hindsight I will never again go through all the trouble and just buy the lumley adapter and use a 12ga forend. But I'm very happier with how it came out and it truly looks factory. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'm aware of what it costs and you're not wrong, by the time I pay shipping it's no cheaper than what I get it for from my supplier is all. I get all my ammo from a dealer in NH he gives me a good deal and I pay no tax. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If you were one half of the godly man that you claim to be you certainly wouldn't be calling names and judging others the way you do. For you to call other that have different ideas than you selfish is ridiculous. By the way I think you are lazy and a fake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Wow a proof read would have helped me out this morning. Most of my "camo" is plaid wool either green and black or red and black. I do have some others I do like the old style tree bark as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. My most comin can I pattern is green or red wool plaid. If I'm bow hunting early I wear tree bark camo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Just like with a bow someone that spends the time practicing and refining their equipment is more ethical at 2 or 3 times the distance of someone who puts in minimal effort. Like a certain person on here that sights in a gun "shooting at stumps." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Luckily for you there are only 2 currently on the market and none come in carbines. There are 3 that are readily available the Brownings, Benelli and Remington. I own a Benelli and a few of the Remington's and they are both good guns. Never like the feel of the Brownings. The Benelli I cut the barrel of to make a carbine and it's a sweet gun but not the most accurate. None are what I would consider light. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Without a rest a rest I can outshoot my Xbow with the compound at every range. I am looking forward to being able to do something different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'm sure you guys are sick and tired of listening to me ramble on about my pump rifles, but if you're not this one is one that is extra special to me. It began life as a full length 30-06 that was bought by my Grandfather in 86 or 87. He killed a bunch of deer with it but has moved to Florida and doesn't hunt anymore. Last year when he was home I was out shooting and he stopped by and handed me this rifle. He told me it's something he wanted me to have and wasn't going to use it anymore. The gun means a lot to me as some of my fondest memories are of hunting with him and this rifle. It sat in my closet for almost a year because I already had 2 30-06 pumps and they were both carbines. I wanted to use this gun because of who's it was but I would never use it in its original form. So I started by having my gunsmith cut it down to a carbine then I ended up with 3 carbine 06 pumps. So I decided to ship it to Oregon and have it made into a 35whelen I only had 1 of them and it is in rough shape. So it got back and now I had a 35whelen carbine that was in excellent shape. So I tuned the action and did a bunch of trigger work added an oversized safety and customized a 20ga 870 stock and forearm to fit and look factory. The only thing I have left to do is put a DNZ scope mount to put this awesome leupold VX-R in that finally came but I don't know when I'm going to have time to sight it in with all the hunting I have been doing so it might wait until the end of season. 13. As I have said before I am a shooter that hunts. I shoot guns a few times a week and am very fortunate to be able to shoot out my back door. I have had a love for firearms since I was a very small boy, I would say 3 or 4. When I was a young boy I struggled in school it was found that I had pretty severe A D D. I was way behind in my reading abilities and other school subjects. My father is a very intelligent man and he had me start reading hunting magazines to him because it was something I was interested in. He knew I loved hunting and guns and would buy a new magazine everyday and I would read it to him at night before bed. Hunting magazines and gun magazines were how I learned to read. I became very knowledgable about different guns and cartridges at around 6 or 7 years old. I started buying and selling guns at around 10 years old with my fathers help. It's something I still do to this day. When I was in the service I was an infantryman and I wanted to become a firearms instructor and I reinlisted and was able to spend 3 years and a marksmanship instructor as well as a range safety officer. I have instructed thousands of marines on marksmanship and to this day it is something I truly enjoy. I haven't counted in a while but I'm sure I have over 20 different rifle and pistol cartridges in my cabinets. I go on different kicks at different times the last couple years it was pistol cartridge rifles and I now own rifles in 357mag, 357 max, 10mm, 41mag, 44mag, 45 colt, 454casull and 500s&w. And I have only been "collecting" these for a couple years. When I get tired of them I will most likely sell all but a few of them and move on to something else. I always get on kicks and buy a bunch of guns and then I start loading for them and then they never leave the cabinet. I guess that's why I have closets full of guns because my cabinets are full. 14. I walked in a local shop and it was sitting on the used rack with a mid 1970's leupold 2-7. I got a great deal on it! It isn't in great condition and it wasn't a factory carbine. I have a feeling that this was a rifle that someone loved and carried a lot and that person died and it was left to a son that had no idea what it was and traded it in on a plastic bolt gun. At least that's what I gathered from the story I got from the shop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Haha you and your conspiracy's. I'm sure that's exactly what happened. If you spent half the time shooting a vertical bow that you waste bitching about not being able to use your Xbow you would be proficient enough that you wouldn't consider an Xbow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Copenhagen straight, spat in a semi circle around the front of my stand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. And so you can shoot them at 1 1/2 and call them mature. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Not at all trying to be an A hole but if I remember right you haven't killed a big one yet. When you do I think you will have a different perspective. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The drags suck especially long ones but to me that is part of it and not a bad part. Take your time and enjoy it. That is one of the last memories you will have of that deer. That is one of the main reasons why I don't shoot small bucks anymore. It's way more enjoyable to stop and take a break from dragging and sit down and admire a mature buck. 21. Remington is currently listing the 700 in whelen and there are a bunch of new ones on GB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
