  1. Yup I'll never ever go back! Unless I am near one and have to poop! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yea 50yds that ain't bad! I have a few Blackhawks and with hand loading and a little tinkering they will shoot way better than the shooter. With pistols I shoot 5 rounds with a rest in between shots at 10 Yd intervals the first shot that is out of a 4" circle is 10yds further than my max. My glock 20 10mm that's 40yds my Blackhawks its 60. From a rest I will stretch them a little further but not much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I basically told the fellow whom was a complete asshole that I got an email saying come pick them up they're ready I drive 45min to get them and he says we don't have them your money is going to be refunded. I said well I guess I'm calling the cops because that is robbery being charged for something I didn't get. I told him I wasn't leaving until he payed for my gas and gave me a cash refund he said he couldn't do either i said well I have a payed receipt for 36 arrows and I walked over picked up 36 singles and headed for the door. Security stopped me I showed them my confirmation email and then the cop showed up. He was cool and told the store that he completely understood my side and the manager ended up giving me a cash refund and all was good. I apologized to the officer for wasting his time then we bs'd in the parking lot for half an he about hunting and how much we hated Walmart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The only downside to the Henry is its about 3lbs heavier. They lied on their website mine weight 8oz heavier than the website said. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Keep up the good work Gramps! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well no arrows 2hrs of driving to 2 Walmart's 1 sheriffs call "on me." You win some you loose some. I guess it will be another few years before I go back in a Walmart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I would go Rossi or Henry. Marlin still hasn't gotten their sh!t together since Remington took over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Don't over look the Ruger 77/44 they are an extremely handy little bolt gun. But I just heard that they have stopped production so it might be one you have to jump in soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The only one I own that won't shoot well enough for your needs with most factory ammo is the Marlin. Other than that all of mine will do it will every ammo I have tried. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks for the heads up 3 doz for 30$ I can't find the same model anywhere online. Anyone who got them give me the exact model? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. They used the same barrels and bolts as the carbines. Both have been known to be hit or miss. The bad thing is you're buying used so you get a bad one and it's yours, the good thing is there is a command for them so you can always send it down the road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Here's a pic of my 44's well other than the Rossi with the scout scope. 1 of my carbines will shoot an honest 1 1/2" group with most factory ammo, the other will shoot nearly as well with my hand loads but about 3" with most factory ammo. My 77 44 "the bolt" was probably the hardest to get to shoot well but it now is a sub 2" group gun. The Marlin is the least accurate it's an old JM and has a very large bore but it won't feed most cast bullets so I have never gotten it to shoot better than 4-5" groups at 100yds. The Rossi is a 454 and has been stupid accurate from day 1 shooting solid 1-2" groups from day 1 with most all ammo and a 2 power scope. The Henry shoots consistent 2-3" groups with most ammo. My favorite of the bunch would be the carbines. Next would be the Rossi followed closely by the Henry. If you have any questions about them let me know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I live my Henry and my rossi's. If you want it scoped rossi's are out unless you are going to use a scout scope. Ruger carbines are on of my favorite rifles ever made. There are plenty out there but they are getting very expensive I haven't seen one for less than 750$ in a long time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Have it rebored to 358win and cut the extra barrel down the 18" and have a great deer rifle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Did you use the dot a lot? What reticle did you have? You are correct they also produce some in the Philippines and I believe their top models are Japanese. Either way I choose American made when I have the option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The 2 I have are absolutely superb! I did have to send the 22 back because of an awful trigger but the cleaned it up and it's perfect now! The 44 is an awesome rifle! You won't be disappointed in the quality American made firearm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Some like to judge others for not doing it their way. Luckily we live in the greatest nation and are born with many freedoms. I have said it before and I'll say it again to me hunting is an individual sport. There are many styles and techniques and even goals. Every person who enters the woods has a goal in mind maybe its to see a deer or maybe it's kill a 150" deer and everything in between and everyone has a different method of accomplishing these goals. I am not a tech guy I like doing things old school like wearing wool and hunting on the ground. But I just ordered a new scope with a red dot in the middle of it and some of my rifles have plastic stocks. If products you buy even only help you think you are raising your chances and you can afford them go for it! If your ozonics has you hunting a stand you might not have hunted if you didn't have it because of an iffy wind and you kill a deer that product worked. It might not have covered your scent or it might have but it gave you confidence to be in the spot to accomplish your set goals and therefor it is worth your money! Have fun and enjoy your season. 18. Vortex are Chinese. There are many things in life that we don't have a choice but to buy Chinese. Rifle scopes are still something that we have American and European producers of at reasonable prices. I won't own a Chinese scope. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I will post a review, I really don't think I need the dot but wanted a 30mm tube and figured why not it wasn't much more money than a new vx-3 and that's what I usually buy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Anyone have one? I just ordered a 1-4x20 it's going on my finally finished 7600 16 inch barreled 358 Winchester. I have been looking at them for years and you can't find a bad review in them. Just wondering if anyone has used one or owns one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Oh, cool! Thanks for adding to the thread! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I shot it well over 500x's in the first 2 weeks and haven't shot it since. It's a blast it's just boring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I have no idea what you are saying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I don't have one of these but with my Stryker I don't shoot groups because it is too expensive. If there isn't wind it will shoot fletch off at 60 without a problem. I haven't shot it after the first week or 2 I had it because it is so boring to shoot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
