  1. This is the exact reason why I no longer use GB or eBay. Too many people are out to screw you! If he doesn't come through with the money send me a PM I might be interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. giving a different spot in oaks a try this morning before heading up to camp for a few days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Grampy you're less than an hour away if you need anything I'm not too far! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I think it helps, is it magic? no. I think we have come a long ways in scent control. Nothing is 100% but I do wear scent lok when bow hunting. I also keep them in a tote with an ozone generator and spray down before going in the woods and never wear my hunting clothes in my truck or house. Have I been winded by deer yes. Have I been winded by less deer I don't know. Have I wasted money on way dumber things in my life absolutely! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Not so far this year but I watched a buck breed a doe on the 27th of September a couple years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Nothing squirrels and blue jays for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I would not sell that gun for a penny under 400 $ unless you need the money. I have collected these for a while now and the value for a good one continues to climb! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Have you ever walked through a piece of woods with no trail the. Walked though it again a year or so later and realize you are on the same path? Terrain dictates movement between 2 places a deer wants to be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I was just telling my dad and brother about sending you guys the barrel and how I have been counting down the days! I'm on the other side of the state and I might have trouble sleeping Friday night! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'm in my swamp stand 40 yds from my back door tons of sign and a lot of acorns hoping for a dry doe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I always shot the m9 very well. I have a beretta 90-2 beside my bed because of the thousands of rounds I have shot with the m9. They aren't carry guns but they are excellent pull trigger go boom guns. I don't like depending on a handgun for anything they are proven to be terrible killers, but they are handy. My bedside pistol is there to get me to my shotgun "also very close to my bed." If I was looking for a bed gun it would be something that felt very right in my hand and all controls felt natural. When your still have asleep is not when you want to be fumbling for a safety. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. There is a reason the deer are using a trail. It's not just because it's a trail there is always a reason. You could kill the whole local herd and in a year or 2 more deer will use the same trails at least that's my belief I haven't ever tried it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. She could hide a lot of jewelry in there for sure! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Overthinking it wait until they turn or put their head down and draw slowly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. A doe and 2 fawns just came 10yds behind me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The blue jays are going crazy in the swamp behind me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. For you guys that are using irons just out of curiosity have you ever or shot a gun with a quality fixed or variable low power scope? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Jesus Grampy that's scary stuff! Glad to hear you are ok and I hope for a very speedy recovery but don't rush it season is long you will get back out there and there will still be plenty of deer to kill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. How was it at gun point in Paris? Paris is a gun free city I thought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I don't know how light you are looking for but my tikka is sub 6lbs with a scope and 4 bullets and sling . My 454 Rossi is right at 5.5lbs with a scope 5 bullets and a sling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Have a great wind and am in one of my favorite spots I have a 30acre swamp to my back that we call "hell." This is a small food plot I put in a staging area before they go in the pasture or out to the standing corn. I got 400 pictures in the last 2 weeks and not 1 buck so here's hoping that will change. 22. If you can get on target and fire a well aimed shot faster with irons than a low power scope than you are a rarity. As for weight a low power scope weighs around 10oz I cut the extra barrel that I don't need off and it about evens it out. The bad weather part is what it is with proper care I have never had a scope unusable in the woods but I did have a ghost ring peep freeze solid and was unusable. Durability is a wash in my opinion. A quality scope is nearly bullet proof and so are iron sights. Both can be broken or have a screw come loose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I bought a pair last week. I doubt I'll ever wear them because I hate wearing anything in my hands but for that price I figured I needed them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Every year I tell myself that I'm not hunting much early and I hear i sit sweating in my stand with no intentions of shooting a deer once so ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
